I feel like food festivals are generally not worth it. Do the tickets include anything, or is it just the cost of admission?

Two types of tickets. One includes chocolate samples and alcohol, the other just the chocolate samples.

Would you request the day off if it were you?

There's a chocolate festival next month. Tickets aren't cheap, and the event is on a Saturday.

Normally, this wouldn't be a problem. The thing is, I started a second job in order to pay off my student loans early. Couple the price with the loss of pay from missing a day, and I'm really not sure if I should go this year.

Then again, the loss of pay would come out to around ~$70-75 (it's a McJob). In the grand scheme of things, that's barely a dent in my very high student loan debt. Also, I don't really get time off unless I request off because there's my regular job on weekdays and then the second job on the weekends.

Still, that's $70 that could go towards the debt, and an expensive ticket I wouldn't have to buy. I'm really not sure. What would you lot do in my situation?

I set my phone so that unknown numbers go directly to voicemail. Most of the spam calls don't leave messages, but there's this one preacher, "Press the numerical button 2 now," calls coming from all over the place (even a Canadian number). It used to be amusing, but now it's just tiresome.

Id like better vocational training and make that free, but theres too heavy an emphasis on college degrees. at that same dispatcher position? you should have just lied and said you never worked at your last employer, or listed another employer.

If I'd lied then I'd have had an eleven year gap in my employment history. Anyway, my lawyer contacted my previous employer's lawyer and told her to fix my shit. No idea if that happened because I told my current employer the truth about what happened, but at that point I also had job training for that area as well as the fact that the director at my old job had gone to jail, which raised the possibility of corruption having been involved.

tl;dr: Interview went badly because my previous employer stabbed me in the back.

Yes. I was interviewed for a police dispatcher position after having an agreement with my previous employer to change my departure from a termination to a resignation. They asked why I left, I gave an explanation, and then the interviewer said that my last employer had told them that they had fired me.

I contacted my lawyer afterwards. I have no idea whether the employer corrected my file, but Im working now.

I'm trying to think of the name for it since my brain spat that knowledge out the moment I finished Chemistry, but peanut butter consists of several materials that react differently at room temperature. It can spread because of the oil content, but it's thick and consistent because of the ground-up peanuts. Remove the oil and you can make peanut butter powder, something we fat people on diets trick ourselves into thinking is a good substitute.
