I am weirdly optimistic it will do something along these lines in a good way

I think I should lose some:

• snacking less and it's generally 'healthier';
• all my meals are now homemade and again 'healthier';
• trying to run 5-6k (currently) every second day and do 1-2 brisk walks daily

BUT:

• this could go on for a long time so who's to say motivation will maintain;
• heaviest weight we have is a 12kgs kettle bell so might suffer on that front

i mean, for reference, we have the governing right wing parties of the US and UK looking to give everybody a thousand dollars and guarantee everybody's wages respectively

Maybe I'm being naive but I really struggle to see how post-2008 type austerity measures and rhetoric play in the months/years after this is all dealt with.

I am WFH and have found it okay thus far.

I do have some work going on thankfully cos im a bit worried about what happens if this is still ongoing in the medium term. unfortunately we've already hit our fee quote on one thing and it keeps running on and on which isn't good.

i wouldn't be surprised to see mass paycuts in a month or two. that'd be preferable to mass layoffs at least

the economic hit is inevitable. it's whether you want it to hit now or in a few months(weeks?) time with a premium of human life on top of it.

This is just an aside but what do the tests even matter? You can't treat it directly, that knowledge doesn't change the course of the illness, it spreads just like any other illness which presumably hospital staff is already taking precautions against.
