Also how is a video game in any way comparably as destructive as drunk driving? You literally just changed what you said to something else. Anyways, people tend to not go with designated drivers because no one tends to want to designate drive because they don't wanna be left out. Designated drivers tend to be the person who just isn't piss drunk at the end of the night (unless going somewhere with significant mileage away... then you might get a real one - but in those scenarios options open up with transportation so you don't need one anyways). People who don't like to drink or don't want to drink also don't tend to want to sit in bars with a bunch of people drinking. Designated drivers exist. And people try a lot to get them. Just doesn't work out a lot. For pool league, I either don't drink or I get a ride there and back. I have gotten exactly 1 ride and back. People tend to not want to give you rides lol. So, I choose not to drink. Some just choose to say... fuck it... I only live a mile away. Or I'll just drink less. Or so on. The specifics really matter not at all. The point was initially that on any night in rural areas probably 80%+ of all drinkers in bars and clubs are driving afterwards. It was in response to you poising it to SmartMuffin. A couple local bars used to ask the police to come down with a cruiser around closing time to ensure everyone would leave on time and not start stuff. #353 | The only time I have ever used an Uber from my area was when I was at my cousin's house drunk and I didn't wanna stay over... the dude had to drive 28 minutes to get me... to drive me 6 miles... cost me $22 one way or some shit... and he probably was 35 minutes out of his normal driving area... I bet he almost lost money taking me home and it costed me an arm and a leg to go home. It's just not feasible in not high traffic compact areas a lot of the time. If you cut them off, they drive to another bar. If you could enforce it entirely, then people stop going to bars and clubs (which is good I guess for reducing drinking and driving a lot), but you just push the patrons into going to one another's houses to drink and they usually drive anyways. And bars and clubs lose business to either the one who won't enforce it or lose it period and can't sustain. Rural bars and drinking and driving is always going to be high. Any night a cop could pick any car leaving a bar and it's basically a guaranteed DUI. That's why PA doesn't allow cops to target bars. lol --- Xbox Live User Name - Corrik
