The big problem for me with Solo was that there was literally no amount of peril they could have put Han in that would have concerned me. The ending was a foregone conclusion from the jump off. There were no stakes. It amounted to 2 hours of fanservice and handwaving.

I mean going into Rogue One, you knew nobody was going to have a happy ending or you would have heard of them after the mission, but that mission was the setup for ANH. There were very tangible stakes at hand. Even if character development was... pointless, it was there in bulk for many characters.

Solo just felt like pointless fetch quest DLC to Star Wars canon that demystified a beloved character to his detriment. I mean , I'll give Donald Glover credit for chewing the scenery as Lando, but otherwise, aside from the set pieces it felt like Star Wars minus the Star Wars.

Only 97 days in my state since the completely inept Ned Lamont issued his moronic order tanking CT even further because he and his predecessor, the equally inept Dan Malloy (whose approval rating during his second term as governor was routinely the worst in the nation), hadn't done enough to harm CT's economy.

Potatoes are part of the nightshade family. Any green part of a potato was above the soil and started photosynthesis. Technically, that part would have trace levels of the toxin. No more than the amount of arsenic in an apple seed though.

We're still making progress Wave, is all I can really say. Yeah, the whole TLoU2 thing is ugly, but at the same time I don't recall people losing their shit over DQ11's Sylvando being an openly, flamboyantly gay character. Maybe it's different with TLoU2 because with the lockdowns, a great many people are just losing their damned minds in general. Maybe TLoU2 hits a different demographic. Maybe with so many people out of work shitty people just have more energy to devote to being shitty.

It's hard to say. There's no real baseline for this crazy timeline to use as a comparison. With everything else going on out there, there's a lot of fear and uncertainty. Fear leads to anger, etc.

We just keep moving and do our best to stay sane in an insane world.
