I find it odd how annoying/cringy/lame Jack can be in these games, but he was completely awesome in Tales from the Borderlands. In fact, most of the TftB cast was great -- hopefully they recycled those dudes into B3 to give it some pep.

I thought Borderlands 2's humor was 90% suckitude, and Jack calling you every ten seconds for "witty" banter got old quickly. The gameplay itself was fine, though...although enemies respawned way too quickly for my liking. I think they spawned a bit slower in B1, so that was more suitable for solo exploration. B2 nailed the DLC angle, though.

Girls' Frontline is quickly approaching its anniversary month, which means a log-in event that lets you pick a free 5* from the normal construction pools.

Most players use this to get free shotguns like SAT8, since shotguns take ridiculous resources and RNG to get, but any type of gun is available. Sadly, they can only be used on five-star versions, not 3* or 4*s, which can also be hard to get.

GF is also doing some type of event with DJMAX Respect tomorrow, but I dunno what it is and whether or not anyone cares about it over here in 'Murica. Events don't seem to get rerun very often, if ever, though, so for those on the fence, now's a good time to jump in.

That is a great line and powerful.

One of the few good lines in the whole game, honestly.

The original game didn't have that great of dialogue or translation, but it got some brownie points for its directness. FF7R's dialogue is friggin' atrocious if one really looks. I swear, 80% of it is things like "let's go" and "hurry up", or my least favorite, explaining the obvious. How many times is there a dungeon with weak puzzlesolving or simple "corridor" gameplay, but the game still feels the need to highlight a lever on the wall, or "maybe we can use that ladder lolz??" stuff. The hand-holding tendencies are really grating after awhile. Maybe not on Enchanted Arms' "here's a tutorial on how to use ladders" crap, but still pretty stupid.

Mine too, but I love how Scorpion fans represent. Its always been 50/50 since MK1!

I'm only basing it on his skillset, honestly. He's had some stupid-looking versions over the years. Scorpion's c'mere spear is probably more iconic than anything Sub-Zero has.

Going in, I thought it might end up being too corny for modern relevance, but naw, it's more hits than misses. Anyone who grew up in a small town can probably feel at home with some of these situations, like putting something important in a newsletter or having "The Great Storm" type events. Hell, I still remember the Blizzard of '98 in my neck of the woods, haha...
