Tiger Woods is definitely LAW fodder. Not only are sports games weak, his off-the-course misadventures make him a potential antivote target.

Slowpoke is probably High Fodder for the same reason that the likes of Mudkip and Bidoof were high fodder in '07 and '08: memes. Slowpoke remains an enduring meme. I doubt he'd win much in 1v1s, but he'd easily make R2 in a 4way format and threaten to go deeper with a lucky draw where he can take advantage of characters leaching.

Elastigirl is probably mid fodder. I'm not as up on my Pixar, so I'm just going to defer to Ranticoot's opinion.

This first match is tough, because on the one hand, we've got Scourge ~ Purpose, but on the other, we've got a ZUNesque composition without the polarizing Touhou soundfont. In other words, both of them feel like a good "Fuck You Board 8" pick, which given how the Tournament of Champions ended seems like something I want to do! Luckily Apostle's Maraud tails off so it becomes easy.

This second match, on the other hand, is a very different type of "fuck you Board 8." The fact that one of these actually has lost a match already does nothing to allay me because that means it won a fucking 9-way, which is arguably worse than actually having made it to Round 3 legitimately.

Man, this is tough. On the one hand, there are two songs that are far above the others, enough that I feel they need to be at least two points ahead of everything else (so +3/+3). But the second tier is far enough ahead of the weaker songs that it feels wrong giving them nothing.

I hadn't even looked at what was on tap for today's matches when I read the poll up top. I picked Awakening on volume, though I was already conceding that Fates had a few gems, like this one. And then I was like "oh wow this actually did make Round 2!" But seriously, Awakening gets the obvious nod because it also has remixes of some of the best of older games. If someone would just upload the version of "Vs. Arvis" (from Genealogy) that plays in the Legendary Weapon DLC, I'd nominate that in a heartbeat. HYMN is certainly a fine song, too, but I think Desire Below narrowly edges it out for me. Still, I saw one of my own noms and immediately put it down, and I had to at least consider changing it! Good song.

This second match doesn't quite measure up to the first, but both songs are certainly at least serviceable. I could've sworn Rave On wasn't a song I was a fan of, but I like this. Actually, I was about to put it above HYMN on my full ranking, then I remembered that I'd outright said that the first match was close for me. So would I put it above Desire Below (Flow)? Not sure. Probably not. But dang, this is a good region. ...Oh, that ending though.

*grins maniacally*...Wait, wasn't...didn't we just have a YOATI match? I could've sworn it was the opponent for Undertale Megalovania during the MegaMega day. If we've really gotten that close to the end of ToC, then I still have a serious problem with this match, even though the decision is laughably easy. I guess maybe HYMN wasn't as close to Desire Below as I thought? Either that or it was just a really cramped top end, because...

Chant This Charm is a lot of fun. I don't know if it has the "wow" factor to get through this type of multi-song melee, but it's a good song.

Two Dragons just feels really generic to me. It's the type of song that I wouldn't feel disappointed to use as an anti-vote, but if I were voting for it in a 1v1 and it lost, I'd probably be furious not that it lost but that its opponent won.

Sudden Visitor is...a step above Two Dragons, if that much. Techno is fun, but only in short doses; otherwise it causes insanity.

I vaguely remember really loving something from The Caligula Effect. I doubt this was it. But eh, it might be worth a vote. I wouldn't be disappointed if it got through.

But of course, the real problem with voting for Love Scope is that Chou chou kou soku de mae sai soku!!! Speed star Kanade is also in this match, and while Love Scope is anime, Chou chou kou soku de mae sai soku!!! Speed star Kanade is animu. It is over-the-top anime, and therefore it SFFs regular anime. Maybe. Actually I think I like Love Scope better but I said after its first-round match that I wanted to vote for Chou chou kou soku de mae sai soku!!! Speed star Kanade for the lulz because it was legit fun, but outclassed by its opponent. Say, its opponent is safely in Round 3, right? ...oh fuck no. You guys advanced an EXECrement in a bracket this strong? Not to mention the fourpack that Chou chou kou soku de mae sai soku!!! Speed star Kanade came from, where you advanced about the only song not worthy of making Round 3.

...Actually I can't even be hugely mad about EXEC_PAJA making Round 3, since about the best thing out beat out was Chant This Charm. I think the real problem was that you had a fourpack that weak in the same bracket as two other fourpacks that strong!

Case in point. This would normally be a thing that I anti-vote, but I still had to vote for it in Round 2, because EXECrement.

I seem to remember being blown away by Weight of the World just the other day when it was in its R2 match. It's certainly good, but hardly the runaway must-have I was expecting.

You know, I honestly was considering saying screw it to the rules and checking to see if a vote for Megalovania would be a wasted vote, because just looking at what people are saying, it sounds like they wish they could outright anti-vote it. But that would only be a worthwhile consideration if I could honestly say that helping things that are not Megalovania would be a good thing. I can't. Lake would probably be my next pick, but...

I'm not sorry for this. I've already lined up another Megalovania for once SSBU retires, and it's not Halloween Hack.

Anyway, going into today, I thought my order was UT > SSBU > EBHH > HS, but listening to them for today's matches, I think I like SSBU the best now? And Halloween Hack's not exactly far behind them. Homestuck's definitely the weak link, because the instrumentation is just weird. Maybe it would've worked better if it was Caliborn's theme instead of Jack's.

Triple Deluxe just doesn't quite "have it". I mean, obviously it's never going to compete with the classics like Gourmet Race and Butter Building (and Fountain of Dreams, itself a remix of Gourmet Race). Frey's philosophy, to borrow a phrase, is the type of thing you feel IN YOUR SOUL!

Though I couldn't quite figure out why I felt that way, until I realized that when I thought I was relistening to it, I was actually listening to Kaine/Salvation. Luckily Pokmon takes it back with a legendary battle theme The chord progressions are wild, and so I can give it that ultimate of compliments: "It sounds more like a Gen V song.
