Do you think a scum Lea doubles down on her vote hopping and jokes when pressured or changes her style to more submissive and less abrasive?

So I'm pretty sure I've not seen scum Lea so this is all baseless speculation but I'll try-- it'll be funny to see if it pans out once she gets pressure since I haven't read anything in topic 2.

So the first step in the process is she gets frustrated that the thing she does every game is now a scumtell but it happens to be right.

The reaction is trickier.

I think Lea isn't going to excel at reading the room under pressure, especially unwarranted pressure, so it's mostly going to be a mood based play rather than what works best. I do think she, as town, realizes that pressure is good (and so the knowledge carries to scum), so would avoid that line as "the jig is up" and she's on borrowed time. Would stop being pro town, so votes and pressure from her stop moving.

So I guess I'd expect doubling down on jokes out of defiance (BUT going weakly on pressuring), or being submissive, depending on whether she feels annoyed or is still having fun. Because I wasn't here for joke time and Chris was attacking her this game probably wasn't as fun so I'd guess the submissive route for this game but again, who knows.

ok let me clarify. SBell has looked good this game. This. Game.
SBell plays much like me usually and his reads are generally best on his feelings more than hard facts. That makes both of us easy early Moslem hes in general.
Im sure SBell can agree that he is often mislynched as town D1/2.
Thats what I meant about Sultan attempting to apply pressure to what he thought might generate some interest then realised he was totally wrong and back-pedalled.

Alright. This is all fair, but do you think Sultan didn't read the game based on his posts? SBell had already looked good at that point and had some palpable support behind him from that.

Further I think Sultan would probably be an easy mislynch in general (I don't know he usually gets modkilled in games for making a dumb mistake before it comes to that in games I recall lol) so your statement about you and SBell would also apply to him, yes?

In fact most of your statements about him would apply to you which is part of why I found it dodgy.

I guess my main followup question is do you think it's more likely Sultan misinterpreted something SBell said due to not reading the game closely enough, or that he didn't read the game closely enough and wrongly assessed him as an easy target.

My read on you is neutral thus far my read on Lea is town thus far. The votes on you vs her are just gravy. She is clearly winning so far.

I'm not saying I'd vote you over any of my scum pile guys, though! If we got a different third wagon (or dramatic reveals in topic 2) then my vote being for you isn't set in stone.

I will say if the wagons stay as they are voting Ben over Lea is basically a mortal lock at this point.

If you want "particular posts" that give me a town read on Lea, I can't find too many, because it's more of a whole being sum of its parts thing.

General attack on IGCD (topic 1, page 8) made sense
Lea defends herself in a way that basically fits with what I've been saying exactly, meaning it feels very genuine because I think it's the truth (topic 1, page 313)
Lea also prods people for activity and asks concise relevant questions early on pages 3 and 4 of topic 1-- yes, again, jokes, but it's not ALL jokes.

Also I think the attacks on her are bad. Voting for her for making jokes is like voting me for mocking the idea you need to read the whole game immediately as top priority.

Lopen, from your read did you shine any info into what might have lead scum to kill Puns, lord of the never killed, night 1?

I will say speaking honestly I wasn't focused on determining that. I did pay more attention to puns's reads than Corrik's though because I think he's a better town player than Corrik, so based off my memory and mentions in notes, if you want an after the fact guess, puns was one of the more vocal detractors of Chris early, and isn't as obvious a kill for scum Chris as Red would be.

That feels like trying to reach too hard for a justification because I don't think he's going to meta a b8 setup based on general mafia play, then later when he got a better one he doubled back to that (I have argued against conditionless unblockable extra kills and I think we're trying to move towards that)

Town lean:

Red seems to be trying and offering insights that aren't just "look I'm smart." I think he's town this game.

Lea seems completely fine. There are jokes but there is also content there, and it all fits with how I read town Lea early game.

SBell seems like, legit this game. The pessimist in me wants to say this is a scum lean because as town I find him to be worthless often, but since the logic seems sound let's just go with positivity for now. Good job stepping up man~~

MZero I can never read in the sense that I don't recall any posts from him yet.

Ben is sheeping and making baseless assertions of alignments which I'd normally call scummy, but this is something town Ben does so it's null at the moment.

Death seems to mostly be parroting stuff and offering minimal content so far, but because content is minimal so I can't honestly say it leans me heavily enough into scum to be sure yet.

Scum lean:

Hb is attacking people in flimsy ways and harping on stuff that isn't terribly important-- curious how that lynch lost momentum honestly. Heck I'd call attacking me today flimsy and going for an easy target. I don't think my content has been below average today.

Chris seems stubborn about lynching Lea based on not much tbh-- it is known that the basis of his vote was indeed Lea joking which is what she does every game. The rest of the argument feels like square pegging stuff to bolster an argument that isn't very good. I also agree that his defense of the flavor assassin seemed forced at first. Lea's content has been solid in spite of jokes so far-- I feel like Chris may be parking on her because it's an easy lynch. I feel like he tries to pocket puns too. Also his first walllike post came when it wasn't necessary which again could be suspicious.

5tar's logic I can't follow very well thus pings suspicion. I'd generally say I find his thought process to make sense historically. It feels like he's making generalized thoughts without reading the game.

IGCD I tend to agree with Lea that claiming there didn't make sense and is more likely a scum move than town one.

I don't know how you're arguing I'm being terribly inactive today. I was inactive yesterday

I have refused to read what I missed but I have posted more than most players I think.

Speaking of refusing to read the day I have started to read day 1. I'm going to post my stream of consciousness notepad dump. Usually I wouldn't but I figure since I have some suspicions on me (for inactivity reasons which is valid and my bad) it is pro town to try and let you guys determine whether I'm legitimately trying or not so as to not distract lynches.

1.1 = hb gets mad at corrik for flavor stuff. people think this is fake and gets momentum. hb has done this as both alignments though even in my small sample size.
IGCD chastises, Corrik votes, Chris chastises and says scum, Lea votes, ben votes
1.2 = Hb rightly says he has done this as both alignments. Chris is rabid dog. Lea jokes. Puns says chris is awkward. Chris claims flavor assassin is "very common on other sites" (I'm skeptical-- sounds like overcorrecting)
Hb more frustrated, Chris points out he anger, still rabid. Chris reacts to puns pressure says he is probably town. Chris explains flavor assassin fear well by thinking unconditional assassins are bad (this is actually fair)
puns votes Chris asks for Hb to give sword. Hb ignores, pursues Corrik harder.
1.3 = hb eventually gives sword on reasons. Chris claims he doesn't remember things. Lea's assassin bits are funny.
Lea asks how chris determines scum inactives in a game where people were unenthusiastic. Sbell claims Corrik seems to be a bit over the top in his obliviousness to the flavor to the point of insincerity. +1
1.4 = Puns says hb scum argument is flimsy. Corrik calls hb out on not saying Corrik is scum. In spite of suspect on Corrik, SBell tells hb to drop the flavor angle jeez (good advice).
Red remarks his flavor is wacky after people were talking about flavor lots. Red says Chris not wanting flavor claim is red flag. SBell wants Ben to come back after bandwagon vote.
Red says "his immediate response was kind of careless, tbh" regarding Chris's defense of not wanting to claim flavor. I concur +1.
1.5 = red says corrik's flavor clearing line is dumb. I concur +1. Chris and red both suspicious of each other. Red's case better with flavor assassin react and thinking Chris justifying living day 2 is alarmy.
1.6 = chris red joust. 5tarscream asks chris why red attacking him isn't a towntell this game. Chris "ga ga ga" + "lot of jokes from Lea holy hell"
1.7 = sultan comes in to post stuff that makes no sense for me, in particular thoughts on SBell. Sbell points out-- Sultan backs. Posts more nonsense. 5tar attacks.
Lea defends her activity of jokes + zerg rush pressure as valid day 1 strategy that she uses as town which is absolutely true. Lea + Death + Chris approve of SBell.
5tar attacks Sultan thinking he had nonsense (true) and was going for a soft lynch on SBell (but SBell has been solid this game). 5tar bails onto a plane after weak pressure on Sultan.
Lea goes after IGCD for claiming. Lea attacks in a way that seems logical to me. Not overly harsh either. What is Chris on about.
1.8 = SBell concurs with Lea. 5tar rambles, town reads Lea red SBell Corrik. Losing focus on this page. I think I'm gonna reread this and take a break.

"High content" posts where a ton of different topics are pursued that take 10x as long to read as normal posts is pretty much the same thing as posting more.

The real question is whether you're doing it as a next level scum play to willfully overload town bandwidth. Unfortunately I'd need to read more of the game to be sure so I'll table it for now-- a discussion on good or bad play isn't helpful here unless j'accuse particularly since I haven't done much yet!

You literally lectured me about overloading the town's bandwidth in whatever the game after Literature Mafia was. I can find a quote if you REALLY don't remember this but I'm sure you do.

I think that was solid advice btw. I don't think your content this game has been as good as you think it is. You're not focusing enough and spamming things about combinations which doesn't really do anything but try to give you some weird analytical air which frankly isn't needed.

I've played the board 8 specials but honestly can't say b8 made me play them. I have a friend who's really into Ace Attorney and Tales of Symphonia IIRC I played before the hype train here-- had a lot of interest in it due to the mechanics which I knew about from a friend who had the SNES tales game.

It'd probably just be visual novels like Ever17, Fate/Stay Night, G-Senjou no Maou etc. Also some MMOs like FFXIV.

And I guess Ys on mobile cause I was told it was on sale for $1 here.
