Yesterday's overtime came down to the wire thanks to yet another comeback by Resident Evil 2, but it wasn't meant to be in the end. GameFAQs' Game of the Year falls in overtime to AI with a final 2-day score of 32-29. AI will face the winner of today's match in the finals.

NGamer's vote was 4 minutes late, though it wouldn't have made a difference as Disco Elysium was never in danger of losing, advancing to the Final Four with a 17-11 victory! Two things to note with this win...

1) Your final four is RE2, AI, KH3, and Disco Elysium; this is the first final four without any Nintendo exclusives since 2009.
2) With the PS4 and Xbox One releases scheduled later this year, Disco Elysium is the first PC-only title to make the Final Four since Half-Life 2 in 2004. The 2004 contest was retroactive and didn't occur until 2010 so this might be more impressive!

Yesterday's match was a good one, as Outer Worlds started off with a strong lead, going up as much as 10-6. Kingdom Hearts III scored the next several votes to steal the lead and eventually hang on to take the third spot in the semifinals with a 16-12 win! Its opponent will be determined today!

I counted twice, and we've stepped into another TIE, as AI and Yooka-Laylee 2 end regulation at 13 votes a piece. These two games will have combined for 5 overtime sessions. Hell, Yooka-Laylee 2's spent as much time in overtime as it has in a regular matchup. Surely that has to be a record.

Devil May Cry 5 gave all that it could to Resident Evil 2 yesterday and put up the closest match RE2 has received so far in the tournament.
