It was a good, respectable run for The Legend of Heroes, but Trails of Cold Steel III quickly met its match in a matter of hours yesterday. Resident Evil 2 advances to the Elite Eight after a dominant 16-4 victory. The upsets keep coming as Tetris knocks off a huge GotY contender! Fire Emblem blew a huge lead and was trailing by three going into the final 30 minutes of the match. However, the final vote would be huge for Outer Wilds as it avoided overtime against Link's Awakening. Mario Maker 2 barely avoids an upset from Bug Fables, and Disco Elysium dominates once more. Also re: Pokemon - maybe it should have been mentioned in the topic title. Also probably a lot of anti-votes.

80 character limit, not to mention Pokemon was the 4th highest seed in the day's matches. I can't help the anti-votes part; people here were disappointed with Sword/Shield, plus Trails of Cold Steel was universally liked here.

Holy hell at the big upset by Bug Fables, stunning what was arguably the best Star Wars game since KOTOR. Tetris escapes a possible sudden death round with Crash Team Racing and advances to face Fire Emblem. Otherwise, the round ends on a normal note, although Yoshi valiantly gave his best against Outer Wilds, but the upset wasn't meant to be.

Other things of note: With MK11's loss, the series hasn't won a match since MK9 won in the second round of 2011. Also, Judgment became the first game in the Yakuza universe to win a tournament match.
