I don't know where Awakening is on the time line that Nintendo made up way after the game came out that doesn't matter, but there is no direct connection to any other game in Awakening. The most you ever get is this Link knows someone named Zelda.

The issue was they said they were going to end the Skywalker story from the beginning so they basically from the very beginning wanted all the Skywalkers to die.

Of course, that didn't have to happen, you could just not mention the Skywalkers anymore and make movies about different characters and not have the Skywalkers come back.

Anyway, agreed, it was a total cop out. He's redeemed because he died, the end. It made the kiss even worse, because what's the point if Kylo is going to die.

But they cop out of even actually ending the Skywalker name, because Rey for no reason decides to take on the Skywalker name herself, so the Skywalker name isn't even going to end anyway.

That's not necessarily edgy, that's just accurately pointing out that most people don't even remotely know who the fuck he is or why anyone should care.

People never seem to really get this, but "YouTube famous" really isn't all that famous. It's just being popular to an extremely niche audience.

I don't really get the issue with the source being youtube.

Do people actively remember the names of every reviewer outside of youtube? Do they know the names of the people who write reviews? Who cares where the review is posted.

I know some person from GameSpot said Pokemon Sword/Shield was super amazing and was attacking people on twitter even before the game was released for not liking the game, then gave the game on amazing score in their review, but I still don't know their name.

And at the time of posting this video is #2 trending on youtube with 1.2 million views, that's hardly a niche audience.

Here's how I see it, if I wanted to watch Force Awakens, I'd just watch A New Hope, because it's a better version of the same movie.

And I just never want to see Last Jedi ever again.

So if I was in the mood to watch something stupid, the Prequels are more entertaining because there are more interesting things to see in it.

It doesn't help that every single person who's claimed to have seen test screenings say it sucks, and almost no one has come forward saying they saw a test screening and enjoyed it.

That's a real bad sign.

Reportedly, the latest "leaks" say the current version of the film supposedly took out one of the most hated scene that supposedly were in all previous versions of the movie, where lots of original trilogy characters all die together in the Millennium Falcon, and added some scenes with Rey messing up not not winning at everything as hard as before, but the overall story is still the same with the same result, Rey and Kylo face Palpatine together, Kylo dies, Rey takes the Skywalker name for herself (thus Rise of Skywalker).

The Daniel Craig James Bond movies seem to be made by people who don't like James Bond movies and don't want to make James Bond movies.

So it's not surprising that someone like you who didn't like the older James Bond movies liked Casino Royale and Skyfall, the latter of which had the overarching theme that the concept of James Bond itself was outdated and stupid.

Men generally care about competitive games more than women regardless if they are physical or not.

Women gaming leagues exist basically as a lower skill league for lower skilled women to play without having to compete with men in the "normal league" many of which, don't actually exclude women, it's just that, if you're a women in it for a profession, it's just kind of easier to win in the women league if you're a women if the women league exists.

Like, Starcraft 2 doesn't ban women from participating in regular tournaments, but they still sometimes, rarely, hold women only tournaments.

Depends on how much you like past Pokemon games.

Because it basically takes no risks and is just like the older games, all faults included.

If you expected some kind of improvement there is none, Game Freak doesn't know how to make modern AAA games, nor do they care to because they know Pokemon will sell regardless.

Other things to note: You have to pay Nintendo's Online subscription service to use the online features.

The online is in general bad.

GTS is gone, so trading needs both people to be there in person.

Pokemon Home won't be out till next year, which people are suspecting the GTS has been moved to and will cost another subscription service, as nobody is willing to confirm if it's free or not.

TLJ played it safe in all the spots it needed to try something new and "subverted expectations" in all the places that didn't matter.

For example.

Still a hard, very distinct line between good and evil, light side and dark side.

Rey stays pure good, Kylo stays pure evil (despite teasing otherwise, as in the twist is there is no twist).

Story is still about Rebel's vs "Empire".

By the end of the movie, basically nothing about the situation has changed, it's just how the movie ended at the same place was stupid.

Taking the story someplace new would be like, Rey accepting's Kylo's offer to run the First Order together, Kylo doesn't want to kill the Rebels, Rey's friends, and his mom for no reason, while Finn and the Rebels are left to fight the 2 most powerful force users in the galaxy to stop their dictatorship.

DC needs to stop trying to replicate the success of the MCU and just focus on making individual good movies.

Disney has developed a culture where many people now feel left out of the conversation if they don't watch all the MCU movies, it's not something DC can just replicate because they want to.

Given, even though Sonic no longer looks like a horror monster, it's still a kids movie filled with dumb jokes.

It's guaranteed to make more money than before, if it was worth the cost of changing Sonic, we'll have to wait an see.

Kathleen Kennedy is basically just complaining that she thinks the MCU has an easier time than she does being successful because I'm sure Bob Iger has yelled at her for failing while the MCU profits.

Also, she's just wrong, because there is tons of Star Wars source martial via the extended universe that they choose not to use.

But from the beginning she was more concerned about pushing certain messages in the Star Wars films over writing a good story so she's even more full of crap than just ignoring that most films are not based off an already successful story.

Like maybe 1 B plot and 2 C plots.

It's explored a little later but being concerned about what someone's crimes were before the zombie apocalypses is a little silly, when Lee is obviously one of the most useful, level headed people in the group. Depends.

Realistically, a boss needs to maintain a position of leadership and authority otherwise nobody will do as they say. Showing signs of weakness by admitting fault all the time will make people lose respect for them.

Sure, all the employees will be happy with a meek and submissive boss that apologizes for everything, but if there is no efficient leader, employees won't do what they need to do and the business will go under than everybody just won't have a job.
