It's too bad only Disney does stuff with their female heroines because we haven't seen nearly enough Anastasia from Anastasia or Chel from Road to El Dorado in media.

Anastasia isn't Disney, though. I think it was the last Don Bluth animated film and owned by Fox. There was a long standing rivalry between him and Disney, that was kind of a foregone conclusion, really. But hey, we got a bunch of classic kids movies out of it.

I'm wrong, apparently the last animated Don Bluth film is Titan AE.
