I think one Microsoft guy in Twitter who has a history of stating bullshit on his account said it did but that's it.

IIRC even when talking about it he said not every game needs a sequel even though Quantum Break ends with a sequel hook lol

I think them dropping Remedy immediately afterwards speaks for itself. Even in Microsoft's big buying spree there hasn't been anything with Remedy.

The Street Fighter X Tekken experiment didn't exactly work out and that was with two Japanese companies.

It worked out just fine, the game completely failed due to the greedy bullshit of Capcom locking a dozen characters already finished and playable behind a paywall

Capcom would just never allow their characters to be brutally dismembered, decapitations are censored in Japan if I'm not mistaken so that already nerfs what they could do fatality wise

You're forgetting that there was supposed to be Tekken X Street Fighter as well.

So I don't think it really worked out fine for the most part. They were more successful on their own.

Lets say you want to play Spider-Man on your PS4 Pro after the servers are shut down.

You put in your disc. Despite owning a PS4 Pro you're stuck with the 1080p resolution because Pro Mode needs a day one patch. You also can't play any of the DLC.

Like is it really practical to think that'll be the best way to play the game in that hypothetical future scenario? Unless society is post-apocalyptic which in that case playing Spider-Man on your PS4 probably isn't a priority.

I was attached to physical games for a while but like...what am I attached to?

I'm not playing my PS3 physical copy of Uncharted Drake's Fortune anymore and I doubt I ever will again. I've got my wife's Nintendo 64 in the house but none of my TV's can display that thing well at all and even if it did it's probably got some PAL fuckery going on.

Meanwhile I can play PC games I bought last generation with a simple click and bump up the settings to play at HD resolutions and smooth framerates.

The Xbox One X is rewarding me for keeping old Xbox games is neat but it only works for specific games. Unfortunately over the years I've given up a lot of those games thinking that I couldn't play them anymore anyway. Ultimately the best archival experience for me is PC. And that's completely digital. Those old PC physical games are basically worthless.

https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2019-11-05/funimation-files-motion-to-recover-attorney-fees-for-vic-mignogna-lawsuit/.152977

Funimation filed a motion with the Tarrant County District Court on Monday for reasonable attorney's fees, costs, and sanctions related to voice actor Vic Mignogna's lawsuit against voice actresses Monica Rial, Jamie Marchi, Rial's fiance Ron Toye, and Funimation. The company requested US$168,941 for reasonable attorney's fees and US$7,504 for costs and expenses. Funimation further requested conditional appellate feels of US$50,000 for appeal, $25,000 for filing a petition for review, and an additional $25,000 if the petition for review is granted but relief is denied. The motion also requested sanctions of at least US$25,000 "to deter [Mignogna] from filing similar lawsuits in the future."

Rial and Toye jointly filed a brief in support of sanctions and attorneys' fees on Monday. The brief requested US$259,713.04 in attorneys' fees already incurred, US$11,980.10 in expenses already incurred, and US$11,250.00 in anticipated attorneys' fees through the date of the hearing. Additionally, the brief listed conditional attorneys' fees to the Court of Appeals for US$55,000.00, at the petition for review for US$12,500.00, at the merits briefing stage before the Texas Supreme Court for $22,500.00, and at oral argument and completion of the proceedings before the Texas Supreme Court for US$15,000.00. The brief argued that a sanction in the case should range from US$100,000 to US$260,000. Source: Brief in Support of Sanctions and Attorneys' Fees

Similarly, Marchi filed a motion to determine sanctions and attorney's fees on Monday. The motion requested reasonable attorney's fees of $48,137.50 and costs of $354.01. The motion also asked for contingent attorney's fees of US$37,500 if there is an appeal to the Court of Appeals, plus an additional US$45,000.00 for a possible appeal to the Texas Supreme Court. The motion further argued that an appropriate sanction in this case is at least US$50,000 and would account for Mignogna's "GoFundMe war chest" crowdfunding campaign that has raised US$258,210 as of press time. Source: Motion to Determine Sanctions and Attorney's Fees

The total of Funimation, Rial, Toye, and Marchi's requested attorney's fees and costs listed above excluding conditional fees and contingent fees is US$507,879.55. The total sanctions the defendants requested account for at least an additional US$175,000.

Think about you're saying. A story about a person who orchestrates a pedo-ring that services the elite of this world isn't a good enough story to run because the person who orchestrates the ring isn't known enough. The whole point about investigative journalism is to make these kinds of persons known. And you literally posted a quote saying Royal Palace threatened them a "million different ways". What do you think the appropriate response is to holding a story that the Queen of bloody England is demanding you shelf or she ****s you up good and proper?

You guys need to be able to separate the words from the speaker. The content from the creator. Scrutinize each and every one of them individually. It's more difficult but you'll come out on top that way.

Robach isn't an investigative journalist. She's an anchor who had an interview segment ready to go.

This segment was denied by her bosses. Because people don't know who Epstein was. Then the legal team for the Royal Palace found out that this person is making accusations against Prince Andrew and also made threats to the network. Like a typical rich person legal team would.

Which I'm betting is a thing for basically any network that interviews rape or sexual assault accusers against famous people. That network has to decide if it's worth the legal or financial risk.

She said as much in the leaked video why it didn't air.

We would not put it on the air. Um, first of all, I was told, whos Jeffrey Epstein? No one knows who that is. This is a stupid story," Robach said on the video recording. "Then, the Palace found out that we had her whole allegations about Prince Andrew and threatened us a million different ways. We were so afraid we wouldnt be able to interview Kate and Will that we, that also quashed the story.

There's nothing else to explain. The network didn't think Epstein was known enough and didn't want to piss off the Royal Family over it. This doesn't mean the Queen runs ABC from the shadows.
