Monetizing isnt the issue. You can still do that. Just not on kids videos. And I upload them to show friends and family certain stuff. They ask when I visit. So, I show them.

As long as you're not monetizing videos you're just showing to friends and family, it has literally nothing to do with you.

Its the FTC or whatever. Who plans on doing it. They even sued YouTube for 170 million recently. It actually affects everybody...

It's pretty easy when you understand how law works.

You make a video and mark it as you see fit, if they complain you indicate how you marked it. Until they create guidelines, they basically have to accept your defense unless they have good reason to believe you are acting with malicious intent.

Basically you're fine unless you're trying to skirt the law so you can target ads at vulnerable people.

They do have guidelines of some kind. But theyre vague and not exactly right. Things like video games and animation are said to be for kids. Or if theyre are cartoons, or have toys in theyre likeness. And stuff like that. Its basically makes it to where most things could be considered for kids. Which contradicts things like game ratings. Or tv shows and movies rating...

Could being the operative word.

If they took you to court for monetizing a review of Deadman Wonderland, they would be laughed out of court.

You don't need to want to get all of them to be screwed over by the change. They all need to be in because every single pokemon has someone that is a fan of it.

There's also the issue that even if your preferred pokemon species is in the game, it's still not the one you caught 20 years ago.

Doesnt matter why they expect. And it didnt go up. Switch games always cost $60.

Pokemon games cost less than $60 based on old production. Being on switch means the price is higher so there is a higher standard to reach. They have produced less so shouldn't have released on switch when they don't reach the benchmark for their market.

What do you think about a pokemon game is so enticing to adults? The challengeless gameplay? The ridiculous and uninteresting plots? The shitty gimmicks that disappear every generation?

Getting your pokemon that you like and socialising with your friends on your unique pokemon preferences is its appeal. It's a social game, and if you remove the part that makes the pokemon transcend the individual game's ecosystem, you remove any reason to feel invested in your pokemon. They're stuck in whatever fucked edition you found it on where it will disappear from memory when that edition isn't relevant any more socially.

You can get another but its stats are different, its nature is different, its training is different, it is functionally different. Even some moves can only be gained by the pokemon learning it in another generation. The individual pokemon are unique and now a big block of them have been made completely redundant.
