It would have been fine if it was used to for character development for Carol by showing her in a negative light, but it's meant to make her look good. It's a weird scene because otherwise the film really didn't have any other moments like that.

Respect all forms of gender and sexual diversity and identity!

What about heterosexual and homosexual cisgenders that are only sexually attracted to other cisgenders?

You're literally Hitler.

The only point I make about it is, if you think they are hot they are hot. If you think they are hot, and then you find out they are trans and think that is gross, you are most likely just lying to yourself because you don't want to catch the imaginary gay.

You can't be literally only attracted to cis people, because you cant always tell. When you see a trans girl who passes, you just assume they aren't trans. So it feels like the only real trans people are one who you aren't attracted to.

There is a good chance all these people who talk about how they would never be attracted to a trans person have already seen some and thought damn they are hot, but just didn't know the difference.

If you think someone is hot, but change your mind after you find out they are trans, that is literally transphobic. Phobic doesn't always mean fear, it also can mean an extreme aversion to. Acting like it would be disgusting to date them is indeed an extreme aversion to.

I don't understand this attraction angle of discussion. The point of contention for most people is the existence/former existence of a penis. Even if she's supermodel-level attractive to someone, that is an absolute no-go for most people. I completely agree with removing stigmatization in cases where a person would otherwise be willing but fears what others may think, but that's a person by person case.

The woman, carrying it for close to a year, has the right to do with it as she wishes due to having that burden.

It seems like no one actually watched the video and are instead knee jerking to the clickbait title so for the people who are too lazy to watch heres the description

Non-offending pedophile is a term used to describe an adult who is attracted to children but has never acted on those feelings with a child.

David, a 21-year-old college student in the United States, knows he is attracted to children between the ages of 4 and 11. Hes one of many pedophiles who knows it is wrong, but believes he was born this way, and that with treatment those urges can be controlled.

But to get that help, people like David have to seek it. And in the United States, that comes with huge risk due to mandatory reporting laws that require therapists to report people they deem a risk to children to the police.

Elizabeth Letourneau, director of the Moore Center for the Prevention of Child Sex Abuse, is one of few researchers in the U.S is focusing on preventative measures to help pedophiles.

Even if you've never offended, if you are sexually interested in children and you reach out to a therapist for help, they may decide that you still represent a threat, Letourneau said. And that their concerns meet the threshold for a mandatory report.

That's not the case at Berlin's "Project Dunkelfeld," one of the only places in the world that offers treatment for pedophiles.

The problem is that they're trying to latch too hard onto the "born this way" angle. I agree that it may be too hard for some people who legitimately want help to get it, but this a rebound too far in the other direction.

I didn't watch the whole video, but isn't this basically about people who have sexual ideation about children and they recognize that it's wrong so they are seeking help?

What's wrong with that? I would rather them seek help before they actually do abuse a child.

I mean, these people are going to exist no matter what. Wouldn't you rather them seek help? Or you want them to just keep silent until they eventually act on their desires?

I don't know about the ones in this video in particular, but these people usually try to sneak into the LBGT circle and list disgusting shit like their "age range of attraction" in their Twitter profiles.

If you were to have a process that terminates your physical body at the end of the transfer, I guess you could try to justify it as a direct continuation of yourself, but it's really just that there are two of you existing at once. Without something more like the existence of a soul or some other eternal record that defines a person, there's no way we could ethically justify a transference to another medium. The preservation of the brain needs to be first and foremost, then you can just figure out other mediums like a jar, robot body, growing a new body, or transferring to another donor body.
