A later game featuring the Golden State Warriors and Houston Rockets did an even bigger audience of 6.073 million, starting at 10:30 p.m. Even an NHL playoff game finished close to SmackDown in viewers with 1.664 million, and it beat SmackDown in the demo.

I think Smackdown drafted RAW's quality with Roman.

I saw that segment and decided I was checking the fuck out. Smackdown was actually decent-ish before that. Bayley vs Becky was fun until Charlotte just came in and beat both of them up for reasons I can't determine. Kofi having an overly dramatic promo about being betrayed by Kevin Owens, his friend of two weeks, was a bit much. I'm ready for Lars to do something other than randomly beat up people in the same manner. And I didn't need to see really sloppy jobbers be beaten by Asuka and Kairi.

I can see why people checked out of the show.

This reminds me that one of the benefits of the move to Fox is we will get quarter hour ratings again

Lots of people stay at home on New Year's to watch it happen on TV. Raw is on TV.

Lots of people are either traveling or with family doing not-TV things on Christmas Eve.

So youre saying one evening is occupied by family, the other is occupied by friends, and wrestling fans are more likely to have one than the other

Also the Hero Belts still have snaps and Im not sure why they sometimes dont use them. Theyve been using the top-tier replicas (with the velcro) more lately when theres actually going to be physicality around the belt

Most of Raw went against the early NBA playoff game that did 3.83 million viewers. The last 25 minutes went against a game that did 3.64 million viewers. It did beat the NHL playoffs on NBC Sports Network, which did 1.18 million viewers.

For a year-to-year comparison, the NBA playoffs were down 18.3 percent from the same week last year, while Raw was down 29.4 percent

Just pulled up the NBA playoff bracket, a sport I don't follow (Raptors still in it though!)

-The higher seed won every series
-6 of the 8 series were over in 4 or 5 games (1 in 6, 1 in 7)
