Eh, I wasn't even that fond of alternate Chloe because she went maximum passive aggressive and basically rejects Max if you don't pull the plug like she wants.

I didn't make this choice and only saw it in LPs but yeah this is not a great moment and completely contrasts with the way the alternate timeline is supposed to have preserved her original personality. Plus, even in a game that is supposed to fuck with you emotionally, that whole scene seemed particularly uncomfortable. That was the choice that took me the longest to make in the entire game. I legit threw down my controller and thought out loud for a good two minutes. Even though I knew Max was going to go back to the original timeline and it wasn't going to matter anyway.

I was planning on doing a TAR ranking over on CTS after I finished rewatching the series but I am continuously reminded how much it amazes me how some people over there can even function in the real world they are so Goddamn sensitive of anything that even bears a shadow of political incorrectness and so fucking protective of their opinions. I think I'll just drop the raw list here where I can at least take the "holy shit _____ are so bad how do you have them high" or "um, okay ______ are amazing but whatever" without getting death threats.

I mean yeah pretty much all of the significant characters have some really undesirable quality except for Kate and William, but I think it makes them pretty real actually. I mean I guess the villains are like, almost cartoonishly over-the-top, but the traits they portray are real traits you'd find in a truly detestable person.

Sacrifice Chloe is the true ending IMO. Even if everything else seems to indicate that it's the alternate ending. It's just too perfect.

Lauren O had some moments but was just too involved with the awfulness of Lesu for me to ever want her to come back, plus I'm adamant in my assertion that Aurora should be the young female returnee from that season over Lauren and Victoria.

Lauren B is in a similar boat. Some moments that basically put her in the same category as 200 other moderately entertaining players. She did have that "I'd like to play again" quote in her final words though, so that may bode well for her chances.

But I'm calling it now - a Lauren will win a season in the 40s. We went 34 seasons without one, then we had three in five seasons, each with increasing placement.

If I pick Pokemon Trainer, am I suddenly in a world where wild Onix and Scyther are a genuine threat to peoples' well-beings or do Pokemon generally leave humans alone unless provoked like in the anime?

If I pick Harry Potter am I in 2019 and just suddenly have all the knowledge/power without training? Do I get to go back to 2001 and be 11 again to go to Hogwarts? Or am I going even further back to the events of the books and living in constant fear of Voldemort?

I once saw somebody suggest a season in which everyone starts with one hidden immunity idol that is non-transferable and there are no other HIIs hidden in the season. So everyone gets one chance to save themselves.

I think I have it last too, but it may be an overreaction. There were some great weeks especially in the premerge. But the bad just felt sooo bad...

The pre-merge was surprisingly solid but the post-merge was just way too fucking awful for it to really even matter. It's possible that recency bias is coming into play for me and it might, like, just end up being bottom 3 or bottom 5 for me two years from now, but I really don't think there is any possibility or any future in which this season is looked upon even remotely favorably.

Just to clarify, neither Chris U nor Tommy were eligible for Winners at War as they were not yet declared winners when casting happened.

Todd was cast but dropped out at the last second for unknown reasons. His replacement was Adam.

Earl did not participate as his wife gave birth to a very premature baby shortly before filming.

Chris D went through casting but did not pass the physical exam.
