It's not that bad in gen 1 and its remakes. Surf, Strength, and Fly were at least decent moves to use in battle, so teaching them to your main party wasn't that bad. The amount of times you need Cut and Flash is small enough that you could just throw them on a random trash mon and pull it out whenever you need it. You could go through the majority of the game with a full party and not need an HM slave.

It's so annoying have to waste one of your six pokemon as an HM slave just to traverse the environment.

Yeah, the gen 7 games changed HM stuff to use Ride Pokemon and not moves on your own Pokemon, so you didn't need to waste moveslots on them.

Also, besides one single Cut bush early in the game, Black/White could be beaten without using any HM moves at all. The HM moves only offered alternate (usually easier) paths or access to various items, but they weren't necessary to beat the game.

I'd put the NHL above either one, but I think the people saying it's way tougher than the NBA might be exaggerating a bit. It's absolutely the most grueling in terms of effort put in per minute, but the NHL does have a lot of line changes, so rarely do you see starters play anywhere close to the full time. Even the league leaders in minutes per game didn't average half of the game spent on the ice.

I would say not yet, but he's right on the verge. He's had a solid career in ROH and NJPW prior to this, as a member of Bullet Club and (now they they've broken off from Bullet Club) The Elite, and I think he has all of the tools to be a top face in AEW. He just needs a bit more refining to build him up. My prediction is that he'll be the first AEW World Champion who hasn't already won a world title in a different company in the past.

How was it overall?

It was fantastic. Best Friends vs. Dark Order was the only match I'd say was "weak" on the card, but Omega vs. PAC and the hardcore/ladder matches were excellent.

Kanade died in episode 1 by using her climax song when her body couldn't handle it, and has thus far stayed dead, but she was mostly a plot device to bring Hibiki and Tsubasa together in the beginning anyways. Fine (season 1 villain) was in a cycle of reincarnation, but that cycle (and her life for real) ended in season 2. Dr. Nastassja (season 2 kind-of-sort-of-villain) died for real, but she was really old to begin with. Dr. Ver (season 2 main villain) died for real and has thus far not come back, but knowing his personality and scientific genius, he probably (god I hope he did) implanted his mind somewhere as an AI. The Autoscorers (season 3 minor villains) were killed off, barely revived in season 5, then were killed off again for real. The alchemist trio (season 4 minor villains) and Adam Weishaupt (season 4 main villain) all died for real Plenty of random military guys have gotten dusted by (Alca-)Noise throughout the series before the Symphogears arrive to save the day, and Maria herself (when she was still a villain in season 2, before she reformed and joined the main cast) actually killed a few with her bare hands at one point. And then finally, the concert terrorist attacks in S1E1 and S5E2 likely had a combined death toll of at least 80,000 innocent civilians.

Thus far, none of the actual main cast has died, but they've had a few close calls.

Yes, EXTREMELY brutal by Symphogear's standards. There's been a decent amount of blood in the series, but before this, the only "gory" things shown in the series were *Symphogear G spoilers* Hibiki having her arm bitten off by the Nephilim (she then went berserk, destroyed the Nephilim, ripped its heart out, and then reattached her arm) and *Symphogear XV spoilers* Millaarc impaling a poor little girl through the chest. Nobody had just been flat-out chopped into pieces like what happened to Noble Red.

Yeah, most anime are usually 12-13 episodes or close to a multiple of those (24-26, 36-39, etc.) because Japan's TV stations want to stick close to the regular seasonal boundaries. Any that don't fit right into those boundaries have to show at least some of their episodes somewhere else. For example, Angels of Death aired last year and it was 16 episodes, so they aired the last 4 online. Beatless was 24 episodes, but due to production issues causing there to be so many recap episodes, the last 4 episodes were cut off the TV broadcast and were shown online.

It happened so fast that I wasn't able to look away in time, but it also happened so fast that my brain couldn't even fully process what had happened until the scene was over and Vanessa had already been Mami Tomoe'd shortly afterwards. I think the fact that NOBLE RED FUCKING DESERVED IT helped make it more tolerable. Better dead than Red, as they say.
