They do it with Korean dramas iirc. Also I think I have seen some anime on Netflix that were simulcast. I dont think it has anything to do with bingeing. I've only heard of the Japanese Netflix simulcasting anime, such as they did with Violet Evergarden last year. But for everywhere else in the world, Netflix held it back until it was finished and then uploaded the whole series at once, so anyone else who wanted to watch the show as it aired had to pirate it with fansubs. Also, Netflix is literally the only streaming site that does this when they license airing anime (Crunchyroll, Funimation, Hulu, and even Amazon Video all upload episodes weekly) so I severely doubt that the reason they do it has anything to do with the licensing agreement itself. --- "Someday I too will fly... and find you again!" https://i.imgtc.ws/gkkR16e.png |

The real comparison would be watch a show that airs in July weekly until it's done in October or finish the show in July lol For Netflix originals, yes. But that's NOT how Netflix does it with shows they license from elsewhere. For example, last week Netflix uploaded the first 12 (of 24) episodes of the anime Carole & Tuesday. The thing is, the show has been broadcasting weekly in Japan since early April. The actual TV broadcast had shown 19 episodes before Netflix would even give the rest of the world one episode. Unless the show you're watching is a Netflix original that's made by Netflix themselves, chances are it's a series that has already been broadcasting weekly on TV somewhere else in the world, so Netflix could be showing it weekly if they wanted to. If the two options are "release an episode a week from July through early October" and "put up all of the episodes in early October after the show finishes", then no matter which one happens, you end up binge-watching the show in October. Holding the episodes back completely screws over the people who don't want to wait and binge watch while essentially having no benefits for the binge watchers. The fact that they lock a series away for months and not show it as it airs in Japan is stupid, and all it does is make fans look for fansubs and pirate the series instead of waiting for Netflix to upload the series. I got multiple copies of SAR-21 (who was showing up with an SMG recipe despite being an AR) from the latest batch, and I also got 100 Shiki, who was added a while ago but I hadn't gotten her yet. If not, then it's fair. Normally in Call Of Duty games, KB+M users don't get target assist due to a mouse already being much easier to aim with... but there's a way to trick the input so it thinks you're using a controller and you get the easy use of a mouse plus the target assist given to controller users.
