2019 where you can feel morally self-righteous about the killing of one animal, while shoveling the meat of another down your throat because of "intelligence"

I think you mixed something up in that analogy.

Or maybe I'm just stupid.
If animals are okay to eat for food, all are up for grabs. Because all animals (including ourselves, as we often forget we are) are intelligent. There's no tiers or levels except for in our people's heads. So one human's definition of intelligent and therefore what is or is not okay to eat, is too arbitrary as an "accepted" basis for determining sanctity of a species' life.

Imagine complaining about a minor inconvenience over being safe.

Imagine not following traffic signs because youre timid and a bad driver.

It says yield not stop. You run the risk of other people being rear ended because you dont follow road signs
Works both ways. I drive in rush hour twice a day five days a week. Both timid and overly assertive (read asshole) drivers not using on and off ramps in a safe manner by gauging their speed to get in where they fit in, not get in where they want to get in, are both awful.

But if there is so much traffic and flow is so slow that you have to stop at a yield sign, then you have to stop. The very definition of yield means that person at the yield sign must relent to oncoming traffic, i.e. even if that means stopping.

At the same time the jackasses that race onto the highway expecting everyone on the highway to yield to them are equally as dangerous. In the end, as with anything, using intelligence and common sense helps everyone on the road to stay safe and get to their destination. As should be every driver's goal when getting behind the wheel of a vehicle.

Edit: I guess my little spiel has already been address. Oh well, I'll leave it lol

Anyone who wants to make any topic should at least be responsible enough to clearly articulate what the discussion will be about and continue to guide the thread to stay on that path. Anything less is baiting. And that should be moddable.

Then meaning that anyone seeing that profile should, and rightfully so, make up their mind about interacting with a person who has that aspect in their life as something important to them, rather than someone you just hook up with and find out they smoke pot.

It's about the clarity of the actual stance, and not hiding behind "support" to mask the lack of full acceptance.

Support and acceptance sound similar, but in this context mean very different things.
Okay I can see your point if you really aren't accepting of them and their gender identity. But if on a romantic or sexual level one is not willing to engage with a transperson than is that the same as acceptance in any other aspect?

We had people trying to, in the past, "cure" (and unfortunately probably still do) homosexuality by convincing homosexual people that they were indeed just misguided heterosexual people. Are we going to now to try and "cure" heterosexuality by redefining it?

Just as there are extremist in the opposite direction thinking transpeople aren't the gender

Just a simple and clear point to be made here: why else do you think straight people seem to so majorly reject the possibility of dating a transwoman?

Do you really believe that a ~97% rejection rate is due to reproduction? In which case, you would imagine a 97% rejection rate for women who have had a hysterectomy for medical purposes?

It seems to be, and without pushing any agenda, that the straight forward explanation is that most straight people who categorically reject the possibility of dating a transwoman do so because on some level they still see that transwoman as male.
Okay fair enough. But if that is the case with some and they aren't preaching hatred or actively trying to fuck over the rights of transpeople than does it matter?

It would be very surprising if that number ever reaches above 10% even accounting for people who may still be lying on that sheet.

It's certainly not a negative thing for a straight person to be with a transperson, but it's not something anyone should push for in terms of social acceptance of transpeople. For the average person, a transperson is a transperson. That will never change. Anyone who really thinks acceptance needs to reflect dating and sex is on the extreme side of the argument.
Yes. And there are certainly people that think one cannot support transpeople without including them in their dating/sexual relations pool. Just as there are extremist in the opposite direction thinking transpeople aren't the gender they have transitioned to. But extremists will be extremists.

Americans also have this weird infatuation with fast food that's not in a fast food setting. As if that changes the quality of the food.

Would actually be a great choice to play him, supposing MCU handles the character properly.
I doubt it. All we've seen is the end of GotG2. And while they were spot on with his cocoon and reason for his creation I highly doubt based on their sampling of their other cosmic characters that Warlock will be anything close to his comic counterpart.

Also, only Reeves if he's actually right for the part. Idgaf who plays Warlock as long as it's someone who fits the role, not some trying to promote the movie through star power.

I'm sure it'll have much that is terrible in it for all the modern reasons, but the point is the level of petty detail gamers are willing to whine about. The best are those who will also link it back to their backwards political ideology too.
Maybe I should have said pathetic whining. But I would hope people wouldn't take any criticism from someone complaining about a fictional 3D character's tit size seriously. Whereas at least any other area of complaint could be valid even if presented the wrong way.

The fans basically just kind of had a this doesnt work, but if we go back to basics then we can forget about this.

I'm not sure I understand what you're talking about, the Wii is easily their most successful console ever

People buy whatever Nintendo makes, but the customer satisfaction was lukewarm at best, and quickly turned into outrage over the nonexistent game library. Everything was either a remake or a port and the novelty of the motion control wore off after the first few games. The backwards compatibility with the GameCube was its best thing.
Wii is like the MCU movies. The only ones butthurt aren't the 80% of consumers that propped up the systems popularity. I.e. Hardcore gamers and comic book nerds. Nintendo knew/knows where their bread is buttered.

Also the answer to the OP is the N64.

I agree. Video games are interactive (though more and more are turning into interactive movies with cutscene after cutscene) and that is the primary purpose and intent. Story is just something to hold together going from one level/board to the next. Post Combat Evolved, Halo is a perfect example of a weak, unhinged story wrapped around some solid game play being super popular.
