Not MK. I was contrasting how other 64 games have value, meanwhile 64 doesn't have, story, for example, to carry it past it's dated gameplay.

Considering SMK to be aged is one perspective, but it has a very 'arcade' playstyle, and none of the other games in the series are comparable to it, so it has some worth in still being played, and stands out for that reason.

beyond that I actually haven't played much of the series. 64 definitely overrated, though.

64 on the other hand, is entirely worthless to ever play again. Unlike some 64 games, even if the gameplay is dated, they have unique stories and levels. 64's gameplay has been improved in future games, and it's not unique like SMK's gameplay. A bulk of the tracks have been added to other games in the series as well. 64 is skating by on nostalgia, despite being extremely irrelevant. I'm not surprised though, because the stuffer has revealed himself to be a 90s boomer who drinks energy drinks and has 64 nostalgia.

So I do think this is a pretty dumb mistake, but it's funny to hear people who've been on board with the game since the game was announced now say they won't buy it at all because of this, when three weeks ago we didn't know the game had online multiplayer of any kind (and technically didn't know it had multiplayer at all, though it was heavily hinted at) and they were totally fine with it

To be fair in my case, I had no interest in the game until I saw the direct, and the multiplayer is what hyped me. A lot of Discords were setting up plans for multiplayer stuff. Then we got a big Nope.

Nah. I've caught the stuffer (the 1 guy that does like 80 votes) in the act before, and he always stuffs Majora's first, then Breath, then Twilight, in that order. The fact that he skips 1 spot makes me think that's his preference. Twilight is dead today, unless he wants to bring it to the finals for an easier win. Either way, Majora's wins it all.

Nope. Book Stannis already specifically refuses to burn non-believers (that aren't even related to him) in his army and just tells the religious people to pray harder. Shireen isn't even anywhere near his army in the book as she's at the wall with her mom and Melisandre.

It's going to be 100% different in the book. Shireen will get burned, but not by Stannis.

Why do people keep saying this? There are countless articles explaining that GRRM told D&D specifically that Stannis will have her burned in the books. D&D have said before that they were as shocked as anyone.

I can't imagine myself ever doing that. My time is finite, and if I'm that starved for entertainment that I need to pay more subscription fees...Eh. I'm glad it's something that exists though, because I like the idea of it. But it comes off as more of a charity than a real entertainment fee. Most people I know pay for Patreon because they like the person, and not because they feel it's actually worth the cost. Just not something I'd do, and it doesn't really have anything to do with the actual money.

Twilight arrived with insane hype, for good reason too. It was a rare occurrence of a Zelda game being a launch title for a new system, and it was the long awaited return to realistic 3D graphics in the series. The game obviously did well, and was well liked. However, some people felt it was lacking (not me), and some of its notoriety diminished sooner than other Zelda games, just in part due to the reasons it was so popular not being as relevant as time passed. But it has been making a gradual comeback in terms of it's worth among Zelda fans, partly due to nostalgia among people at the time. I'm personally glad, because I always thought it was one of the better ones.

Wind Waker was pretty widely loved when it came out. The only hate I remember were people who didn't like the graphic style choice. Majora and Twilight, while still liked, weren't loved at quite the same caliber as a typical Zelda game. It took a bit more nostalgia for people to overlook their flaws.

This describes what happened with Majora's Mask several years ago.

When a certain generation gets older, the games, even if less than stellar at the time, get a really strong fanbase. Expect to see the same thing with Skyward Sword in 8-10 years when its generation gets a bit older.

It is that easy, you are right.

But there have been many things in the past that were that easy, and Nintendo ignored.

You can play online against random people, but you cannot play online against people on your friendlist, because it will allow for potential leaderboard warping. You can still play with friends IRL though...
