Absolute value. Essentially, it's always positive because it's a representation of how far away from 0 it is. So -3 is still 3 away from 0. In a nutshell

Just finished the first season. The main thing is Charlie isn't a complete dunce at first. He can be childish but otherwise he seems about average intelligence wise. Mac is the one that is the biggest idiot in the beginning.

It's really jarring to see the characters in the beginning before their personalities were developed into what they are now. And also not having Frank yet.

But it's also funny to see episode from almost 15 years ago talking about topics the exact same way they're still talked about today.

Jehovah's Witness and Mormons seem to be the more "follow by the letter of the law" Christian religions. Most Catholics I know either barely go to church or just go to church as a routine and don't really incorporate their religion in everyday life. Hell most Baptists and other non denominational followers seem to practice their religion more, I'd argue Catholics are the least actual practicing sect out there at least in America. From my anecdotal experience at least

Ya know, the whole "sanctity of marriage" argument may have been a valid one if the divorce rates werent so damn high. Doesnt seem very sacred when you can just choose to break up like any other non married couple because you're bored of each other, and the only real benefits you enjoy that non married couples dont is a bit of a tax break. The only difference is theres a legal process where someone gets to take someone else's stuff.

I think what it really was, was people were really scared that gay people could have a higher success rate of marriage than straight people and they just dont want to see that play out.

I've done adderall and coke before, but never meth. It was always funny because addy lasted pretty long and was cheaper than coke so I always wondered why coke was so expensive. Does meth last a long time? Both addy and meth are amphetamines so I'm assuming they're pretty similar.

The point is if you're doing nothing, involved in nothing, how can you expect to meet anyone? You have to be willing to put yourself out there. And sometimes you're going to make an ass of yourself. Sometimes you'll pull it off and make a meaningful connection. Everybody plays the fool sometimes, you cant let that prevent you from enjoying life man.

Another thing is you're too concerned with meeting girls specifically. You feel shitty because you can't get a girl and because of that you give up on everything else life has to offer (making this assumption based on your posts thus far). And the funny thing is, girls are not going to want to be with you if you're negative all the time.

Take what I said in my last post to heart. Go be involved with something. I joined a pool, bowling, and chess league. It was VERY uncomfortable when I walked into them the very first time. I didn't know anybody, I wasn't really that good at any of those activities. So I thought I would get my ass kicked and then I would be the new guy everyone picked on. And it ended up not being like that at all. I had people even on opposing teams help me get better at those activities, I became good friends with my teammates I was assigned, and now they're all normal activities to me and the people there I'm good friends with, and now I even have girls texting me and considering them good friends.

It can happen. You just have to learn how to be comfortable with being uncomfortable, as much of a paradox as that may seem.

Have some solid questions, stories

I think this is key. I see some people complain about having a boring life and no stories to tell. Well change that. Make some stories happen.

Also my social life expanded immensely when I joined clubs. Join a bowling league. Join a pool league. Become a regular member of something. You'll become familiar with some people, go do sometime with them. Don't have the intention to meet girls at first, just focus on having fun. Soon when people see you having fun people will want to be involved with you having fun. And that leads to meeting girls.

It's at least one strategy. And a more fulfilling one imo

Dude sometimes you get rejected and called names. Sometimes you succeed. Sounds like you're more scared of being rejected than the benefits of succeeding, which is what drives men to say they stop trying or going MGTOW. All that shit is just a coping mechanism.

Just try. You're painting a picture in your head where you've already lost before you've played the game.

I'm not sure if it was a Nick movie, nor if it was in the 90s, but it was either that or early 2000s. I'm inclined to think it was 90s. I'm pretty sure it was just a TV movie but again not sure, I just remember seeing it on TV as a kid.

The main scene I remember was the bus driver being stuck at a red light, and it never turned green except for one time when he got out to use a pay phone. Think the movie ended with the kids of the school helping him push it after it ran out of gas.
