but yeah, edwin diaz has been pretty bad. he is a huge reason why the mets have underperformed this year.

Like ive said since day 1, that cano/diaz trade is an epic disaster and is going to wind up as one of those top 5 all time worst MLB trades you see on those lists, like 20 years from now.

it's all because ownership refused to give a budget to actually spend on relievers and had to force a trade for one instead. Fuck the wilpons.

jesus christ, this shit literlaly only happens to the mets.
the mets have a 4-2 lead over the cardinals, rain coming down hard. 8th inning just finished. diaz is ready. comes out to throw warmup pitches it starts raining harder. they're about to put the tarp on. rain lets up a bit and they decide not to, after diaz got warmed up. 15 minute delay to clean up the field a bit. diaz blows the lead. to extras. then they immediately put the tarp on.

like are you fucking kidding? this is pretty similar to that awful game the mets blew to the padres after the rain delay in 2015, where again they had a 2 run lead with 1 out to go, and a rain delay interjected and they blew the game after the rain delay, and then they delayed it a second time. its like literally exactly the same.

this shit only happens to the mets. prove me wrong.

the most basic shit like, bringing back Cano from the DL. he plays 1/3 of a game, leaves with the same exact injury, and he's still been sitting here taking up a roster spot and hasn't played in 3 more games now. its LITERALLY just a 10 day DL, stop wasting a fucking roster spot. This is a Wilpon decision 100%. "But if a household name like Robinson Cano isn't on the roster, people won't want to come out and buy a ticket" - this is guaranteed what their reasoning was for activating him too early and then not putting him back on the DL. They did this with Cespedes and literally called him a liar when he said he needed surgery, activated him anyway, he got "re"-injured after one game and then got surgery 2 months later (they actually knew he needed the surgery all along, like 1 month before that incident, and had he had it as soon as they knew, he'd be on the 2019 opening day roster).

Like, this is hwo this garbage franchise is run. and mets fans are so stupidly loyal, we are so much more deserving than having this human scum (which btw they are actually horrible human beings too- they fired a woman for being pregnant and not married) run a baseball team.

But there's nothing that can be done. We are fucking cursed with them forever. They have survived the same scandals that have literally forced out other owners. Nothing will save us. We are doomed forever. I'm never going to see them win a championship and it's all thanks to one fucking disgusting excuse for a person.

played a couple hours of RiME, not super impressed so far. mostly the puzzles aren't that interesting yet to me, and also the graphical glitches are driving me crazy (moving the camera around, so many of the objects just disappear or blip in and out of existence, the camera moves behind walls too easily, and I can't see anything, etc). This happens especially when moving blocks around too close to something. But mostly all the puzzles are just too simplistic. Also everything is just too slow. I just wish I could move around faster, but it just feels so chunky.

Anyway I'm currently at the circular room where you have to move the block around and need to block off the 3 shadow plates... shortly after the bird steals the ball and that whole part. I guess this is the 'hardest' puzzle so far, but it's not really puzzle like imo. Its just tediously moving the block around until you find just the right angle... don't really consider this a "puzzle". I'll give it one more play session this weekend and see how I feel but I might stop after that if it doesn't pick up for me. I think it's like a 5-6 hour game from what I understands so we'll see...

Once I finish Zelda 2 on the switch (I'm pretty close to done... I'm at the Three Rock Palace or w/e its called) I'll start up Lolo on that. I usually play my switch for like an hour or so before I fall asleep at night, that will be my Lolo time. I had previously played about 10 stages of that game and really enjoyed it, so I'm looking forward to playing it all the way through. I got RiME when it was free on the Epic Store, so def playing that too.

You know I kind of suspected that too, the main thing that made me think it wasn't was that he gives out his personal email right at the start and wants you to talk about it, but that could just be a story mechanic... or a ruse... On the other hand, the game dev has several games where it is impossible to complete and the narrator has you press enter or whatever to sidestep this guy's "impossible" level design which in itself is a little fishy, but there's one point in the last game where he says he played through the game to get to those messages left for him, but that would mean he somehow got around the impossible barriers. How would he do that without access to the games files? Why would the game dev give him the raw files? So, I think you're probably right.

But yeah, the pretentiousness of it got on my nerves for sure. Stanley Parable doesn't take itself seriously at all, its a much different experience, but you definitely still need to have at least a small taste for walking sims. That one has a lot more interaction, as the game is largely about choices.

Wigs uh... Finished.... The Beginner's Guide

It's extremely short. only like an hour and a half or so. I wanted to see what it was about as its usually the kind of thing I like but I don't think I can recommend it. It's interesting at a minimum and has a story to tell but...

The narrator , although he clearly had his issues was not very nice to his friend, and to continue to do these things without Coda's permission. I actually feel bad for him more than anything else and I guess it took Coda's last game for him to really realize that, and I think on its own that story would have its merit and it does... but the whole thing feels kind of cheapened by the fact he less so publicized his friends games against his wishes, after he knows what he did, but I can't feel kind of weird that he made a profit off him being not super nice to his friend, and maybe I kind of missed the point here, I guess the story is more about the narrator than the game creator. But the game creator clearly did care that he was showing his work around. So that bothers me.

I guess it's an interesting discussion to have, so I'd be happy to discuss it if you do wind up playing it, but it wound up kind of leaving me with a dissatisfied feeling (not an irrelevant feeling though).

I did say in the offseason i was higher on him than most to be fair! He's been great though. hope he can keep it up. Last year, when he came back from injury in August, and he put on the VARGY uniform for the Players Weekend, he was great those last 2 months. Really this year he just had the 1 cataclysmic start, and like one other bad one, and he's been good besides that. Now that he's shown he won't fall apart 3 times through the lineup, he doesn't need a leash anymore

(for those unaware he just threw a CGSHO, though it was just vs the worst offensive team in the NL)

booth confirms Cano came out of the game with "left quad tightness" which is exactly the injury he went on the DL for 10 days ago. He literally was activated today and played like 4 innings of total baseball before coming out with the SAME INJURY. I will remind you, the Mets (aka ownership) said he did not need to play in any rehab games.

It is comical how simultaneously villainous and incompetent the wilpons are to rush a guy back from an injury without any rehab games only for him to get immediately hurt with the same injury
