I found Dragon Quest IV and V and Final Fantasy IV to be 6/10 at most while Final Fantasy VIII and Xenogears were close to perfect 10s. I feel much more immersed in PS1 and forward, probably because there is more emphasis on atmosphere, story and character development, while NES and SNES JRPGs were mostly typical good vs. evil.
I will always love Gameboy Pokemon games because nostalgia I guess...
Is my opinion pretty uncommon? Because I see nothing but praise for NES and SNES era JRPGs.
I also find it interesting that nobody seems to care about the censorship of these older games from their original Japanese versions. The censorship of JRPGs back then was probably the worst in history, equal or worse than even 4kids anime dubs.

So, you're not a fan of forgiveness then?

I actually am a fan of forgiveness. It's just difficult when nobody else is, and then certain types of people get forgiven way more easily than others do.
I believe forgiveness is really the only real way to move on and is best in the long run, but actually applying it is way easier said than done.
People have not attempted to empathize with my struggles at all, I haven't been shown any compassion over the life-changing stuff I had to go through 3 months ago, so I'm just extremely angry and that's why stuff like this can trigger me.
I wanna forgive others and I want them to forgive me but it seems like the people around me are heartless, soullless scum.

I'm waiting for Phantasy Star Online 2 for Xbone which will probably take over my entire life.
Until then I'll be too busy with Xenogears/Saga/Blade and Dragon Quest 5-11, along with Bayonetta 2. I doubt I'll even have all these games finished by the time PSO 2 comes out.

I finally finished Bayonetta on Nonstop Infinite Climax difficulty the other day, the hardest part of the game? The Alfheim challenges, and I did them on NORMAL FFS. I literally punched my controller a few times doing this one Alfheim that took me 3 hours of nonstop playing to finally finish it. There were more ridiculous alfheims too that were not fun to play and just frustrating. I hated them but I finished them.
Started Bayonetta 2 and it is way better. I bet the devs must have received many complaints about the first game's difficulty and maybe that's why Bayonetta 2 is more forgiving.

Also got addicted to Devil May Cry 2 HD to get the Playstation platinum trophy for the game. That game just plain sucked.
