Notre Dame's schedule is actually rated pretty decently, particularly because they schedule very few cupcakes. They had a lot of mediocre teams on their schedule, but you can't just say that Michigan and Syracuse don't count. Michigan's a marquee game and they won it.

It's important to know that every gamestop is different

I've shopped at the gamestops in my area for nearly 20 years and have never had a single irreconcilable issue with them and the staff have always been wonderful, to the extent that gamestop hate seems weird to me (aside from general wariness of overall corporate practices which is always warranted)

I would say that when it comes to a very story-driven game in particular, knowing the author's personality and views and feelings about things can absolutely color how the story reads

Uhhh, sort of? Probably won't deliberately avoid a game for having an asshole dev but it is a bit of a strike against it and I can't think of many situations where a jerk dev put out an amazing game anyway, tends to be overlap between dev problems and game problems

weirdly enough, earlier today was the first time I've seen this phrase, but I didn't realize it itself was a phrase because it was used in a response where it seemed like someone was just using words (which in retrospect is why they used the phrase, because it fit in a funny way)

I'm sort of sad because I can't really think of 'favorite' matches I have. Aside from Mega Man/Sonic and Mega Man/Charizard/Zero, I can't really think of any matches in contest history that had a result that was particularly awesome for me so I guess the most interesting matches to me are just the ones that were close

I'm pretty contrarian I guess

I would have snuck Frog/Master Chief into the lower reaches of the top 75 just because the crazy closeness of the match makes it feel "canonical" in a way even if it didn't really have future impact

I've always liked Sacred Stones and never really understood the hate

Also I think Ansem/CATS was like really lowkey an important match because it taught me that a character like CATS was not literally incapable of winning a match. It was kind of eye opening
