Sometimes we cause our own destruction without any knowledge/memory of it. I had a night like this many years ago and I lost two really great friends. Nobody ever told me what happened. I think they thought I was pretending I blacked out so I wouldn't have to take responsibility, but I was asking what happened so I could take responsibility. The whole thing was a lesson in moderation.

I recall the 2 friends calling me at work to see if I wanted to go to a rave after work in Vermont. I agreed. Halfway there they tell me my ex gf (how I met these two friends) was going to be there with her new bf. I told them they'd better have plenty of stuff for me to get messed up with.

I'm not going to post the few things I remember after that because CE can kiss my dirty buns. Lol. But if you want I'll PM you the rest tomorrow. Going to watch a movie and hit the sack. Then I'm going to bed.

Yeah, I woke up in detox. Destroyed a friendship (and romance. We were semi involved). Shes also a coworker so I took a leave off work for personal reasons while I figure out what the fuck to do

SO....Christmas Eve night in Minnesota. Im at the bar, and my friends left. Had about an hour left, so I started binging Hennessy and coke. Why? Memories of a child I lost. I just didnt wanna think.

I got to texting like I like to do, and a female coworker I have a thing for offered to pick me up, even though I said I had a place to walk to. The last thing I remember clearly was her showing up and saying lets go.

WELL, fragmentary blackout time. I dont remember the drive. I dont remember going into her home.

What I DO very vaguely recall is being in a dark room and throwing up. Next thing I know, Im trying to leave cuz I feel bad. Suddenly, theres a guy telling me I cant leave. I recall a fistfight (that I lost). Somehow, I got outside. Mind you, its cold as all FUCK outside. Like 20 degrees.

I recall wandering a bit. At some point, she was there with a car telling me to get in. I refuse. I think the guy who hit me was there, too. Cops show up and take me to detox.

Next day, I get out. Except she texted me some details I dont recall, fuzzy or anything. Which horrified me. Basically, I started the fight with her male friend (what I barely remember is him pushing me from leaving and I tried to punch him), throwing up all over her sheets (I hate myself), apparently asking her to have sex. Supposedy I started yelling at her (I have ZERO memory of this), got emotional (I cried), yelled at her landlord, hit my head on the stairs, etc.

But that doesnt make any sense...I dont know in what time period ANY of this happened. All the googling I did showed throwing up can INCREASE your levels. I do recall being more coherent after wandering outside after awhile. It was literally a temperature that can kill you up here, and I actually recall laying in a field for a bit before they found me.

I vaguely remember getting punched several times in the head, but I remember the cuffs being way too tight. I cant refute or deny her claims cuz I only remember like two things. And even those didnt match up with what she told me.

Naturally, she fucking hates me now, and I feel incredibly guilty about what happened. She was trying to be kind to me, and in some drunken insanity, I tried to fight everyone after allegedly puking and being denied sex? The absolute fuck? Dont remember doing that. I THINK I told her I loved her though

Mine doesnt either. Its just genetics. It can change more as you age.

Anybody else have relatively weird beard genes?

My hair is blonde. So are my eyebrows and the facial hair above my lip and on my chin. Whats weird is the facial hair on my neck and jawline is dark. Mustache and goatee also grow about 5x faster than the rest of my set up, lol.

Whats worse is Im cursed with sparse hair. If its not on my head, its thin. It took three months to grow my facial hair to about an inch, and because its not thick it just looks dumb. The coloring situation doesnt help either, blonde goatee essentially with dark everything else. Oh, and I have no connectors attaching the jaw line facial hair to the mustache. So even at best, the beard is incomplete. But that is a style so thats not so bad.

This has all changed a lot with age. Early 20s I barely had to touch the jawline. Goatee either. Im 29 now and even though I have a poor beard by typical manly man standards, its MUCH fuller than it would have been years ago. Im still forced to stick with the goatee though so it at least matches my head, lol. I usually let the jawline remain as dark scruff and stick to trimming.

Ive heard beards continue to improve well throughout a mans life and not just through adolescence. Anybody else have awkward beard genes? A mix of colors? Just poor growth in general? Did it improve with age (beyond adolescence, obviously)?

Im jealous of all these full beards and Im stuck with this mess, lol

Just out of the blue he stopped responding to her messages. There was no argument that preceded this, no indication that anything was wrong. His last message was confirming dinner plans with her, then on the day of the dinner he just didn't show up. But he still reads the messages and is still active on social media like nothing is wrong.
