Well i helped feed the homeless at my local soup kitchen tonight. Feels good. Hope people remember the less fortunate this year as you are in your warm homes excitedly ripping open your dozens of gifts. Some dont have much.

With a cellphone, I can believe that. People don't start homeless. A cellphone is also pretty much required when applying for jobs, since they would have few other methods of contact.

I know multiple users here have spent time homeless, one of them talked about using their phone to apply for jobs through free WiFi and charging it in the library.

I used to be homeless as well, during a more troubled part of my past, I had to take care of my little sister after my aunt kicked us out.

Main concern was making sure she had something to eat and could stay warm, though back then, we didn't have mobiles to stay in touch with others and I didn't have anywhere safe to leave her, so she just had to stay with me most of the time while I was trying to get us back on our feet.

(She was 9 at the time.)

If you don't know, don't look it up.

Basically people try to put themselves in as much pain as possible and record it for other people to watch, often resulting in permanent damage to genitalia and other parts of their body.

Though, the higher ranked videos generally have to be more creative, if you have a weak stomach, I wouldn't recommend watching any of them.

From what I saw, you're far more likely to just get modded for being yourself, and you made many posts that could have been reported in the occasional posting I did in the same areas as you.

For future reference, this can be considered a moddable offence.

You need to be more nuanced and not directly insult or imply that you're insulting others and have them insult themselves if you want to go about this.

Otherwise it can be marked as flaming (Even if you just use things like "stupid" "idiot" or other low level ones that you'd hear on a school yard.) and could result in action taken against you, and depending on the severity of it and your past history, it can end up with a substantial karma reduction and a suspension.

Mods are cracking down even on basic ones like this compared to a few years ago when they only really cared if you said genuinely offensive things.

If you're already AT the building to take the pizza away, why not just eat it while it's hot?

It takes about 2 to 4 minutes to eat a pizza, but if you wander off with it, it becomes cold, the cheese congeals and you're more likely to just have all the toppings slide off so you're left with a limp piece of bread with a trace amount of sauce on it.

If you have it for delivery, then you have a trained specialist that has a special thermal insulator that can keep the pizza hot until it gets to you.

Why would you settle for cold and unpleasant pizza when you could just have fresh pizza?

Took me about a minute to have any idea what you were asking.

Though this would suggest you have more issues if you order a pizza for takeaway rather than just eating it inside, or having it delivered.

I was talking to someone before, and they came up with an interesting system that in order to even engage in such events, you had to pass an emotional maturity test that went over all matter of topics to see if they were in a position to handle consequences of their actions, as well as knowing full details of proper safety methods.

While in theory this works... It would be a nightmare to try to enforce it.

Depends on if you pat them down with a paper towel to get the grease off.

Otherwise it's legalized heart attacks waiting to happen.

It's a faux pas to be interested or pursue entanglements with coworkers for a reason.

It can create extremely bad working environments both if it goes well or badly, and it could even result in a schism in the work place where people have to take sides.

I wouldn't recommend going after it, it'll be better for everyone involved.

And for Kenneth, yes. Jim Parsons seems a perfect fit for a young Fred Rogers role.

I'd disagree with that claim.

From what I saw of him, Jim would do a very poor job handling such a well respected person.

Mr Rogers is a beloved character that was genuinely as kind hearted as he appeared on TV, which is an exceedingly rare trait, even going so far as to mention that he's feeding his fish because he made an off hand comment in one episode about it, and a blind girl wrote him a letter saying she was worried his fish wasn't being fed.

In order to make one single viewer feel better, he made a consistent change.

Jim Parsons from what I can see isn't a BAD person, but at the core level, he does not put anywhere near the same level of heart into his roles.

Fewer episodes generally means better writing

Shows with 8-12 episode seasons tend to be much better and have better production value compared to shows that have an extra dozen filler episodes each season

Also depending on the type of a show.

If a show is purely driven by a single story, individual episodes tend to be less memorable and each one just serves to have a big finale.

If it's more episodic with a self contained story with elements of an overarching plot, it can add to the overall story, while also standing out and being enjoyable in their own right.

Whereas for the first type, it often have hooks like cliff hangers to make you want to watch to see what happens next, but despite being 30 to 60 minutes long, very little of it actually matters and the entire episode could be summarised entirely in a 40 second "Last time on (Show)..." at the start of the very next episode.

For a show like that, you could skip every episode except the first and last one, and get the gist from the recaps and none of the fluff.

So for a show that is entirely story driven like that, if it's a shorter one, they need to get the story focused without using filler or other scenes that take away from it.

So while they can also spend more time on the actual plot and writing of each episode, they're forced to make each episode meaningful, which can turn a mediocre show into an outstanding show depending on how the rest of it is handled.

Average show is supposed to have 6 or under episodes!

We were happy as long as there was a man playing the piano in time, it could be anything, even a fish flopping around in a bucket and we'd be crying and cheering for it to succeed!

No. Ridiculous. Ideally all students will have 4.0. Realistically, about 70-87% will. Singling out "the top three" when the grand majority of students have a 4.0 is nonsense

So like someone said before, you just want them to lower the grade requirements, which in turn will devalue a 4.0 and result in overall more people with it, but they won't be anywhere near as competent as people who already have such a grade.

Generally speaking I like brunette girls with either glasses or a longer fringe that can be used to hide one eye, though I wouldn't say a particular body type appeals to me, since what I like is the person's energy and how they carry themselves.

Which is difficult to get from a static image.

In the before times, man could not stand completely naked in their own home and not be cold, but with central heating and proper window / door thermal insulation, it can feel like we're walking around in a grassy meadow in the middle of winter.

Quite often votes can be manipulated in various ways.

For instance, one person could make a nomination, which nobody would have voted for, but if someone makes a HUGE deal about how completely stupid and asinine it is, people often feel bad for whoever submitted it and votes for it.

Other cases could be people see it as a big joke, and the people who think it would be a good idea for a laugh really push it, while other people just roll their eyes and don't really pay attention.

By the time that happens, everyone says "Wait, I wasn't paying attention! I could have stopped this!"

Keep in mind that it only gets looks at for moderation if someone reports it.

The real question here is that someone or multiple people saw whatever you said to be fit for moderation.

It is possible that mods are just browsing, though they generally don't take action unless it's a severe violation of the rules, and in those, you could end up with an immediate ban.

The first one isn't always a date, it could be quite a few things, such as a business lunch, catching up with an old friend among other things I don't want to get into excessive detail here.

The second one could also have different reasons for it rather than just them being unfaithful to you.

I'll go with the first one, since my wife often meets with clients and they have lunch or drinks while they talk about the job details.

Sorry to hear that. Like I said, I've never had anything major happen to me except for a torn ACL, all this stuff kinda gives me the creeps.

If you liked that one, I have all kinds of stories about my various injuries.

For instance, one time I opened a cupboard, forgot the door was open, stood up and bashed the top of my head against it, then the bottom hinge came off, and it smacked me in the face.

I ended up getting a bloody nose and a chipped tooth from that one. =P

Another time I was a wee little Kenneth, and I was trying to open a can of spaghetti hoops.

The lid went inside the can, so I tried to fish it out, and I ended up cutting half of my index finger off.

They managed to reattach it, but it isn't anywhere near as responsive and I can't feel it as well as my other ones.

Yet another time was when I was coming out of my bedroom, and I slipped in the hallway and slammed my foot in the wall, I ended up breaking 3 of my toes and threw my back out from how hard I hit the ground.

One thing you'll learn about me is that I'm very accident prone, and about 30% of my body is scar tissue.

The pants I have on right now have no restriction at all thankfully. Nothing worse than tight underwear/pants although I do make a exception at times by wearing skinny jeans when going on a night out.

When you have as many medical problems as I do, any form of trousers are terribly restrictive.

It's hard to tell because it lists several as starting in years that other ones are still ongoing.

I used to, but I generally get too much blood in them and have to just throw them out more often than not.

There is a social stigma around it, however, men and women are able to recognise if other men or women would be considered attractive, it doesn't suddenly become a case where just because they happen to be the same sex as you, that you're incapable of registering if they're aesthetically pleasing to people interested in their gender.

For instance, I know a guy, and he is VERY attractive, unfortunately he isn't very confident, and despite getting multiple people interested in him, he didn't have a single date until his mid 20s.

Though he ended up... In a bizarre relationship with them where she went crazy and basically said she would kill herself if he even had a passing glance at another girl.

I never heard of him until I just happened to see a Youtube video talking about the game console he "created" about 6 hours ago.

(I didn't watch the video, but it mentioned him in the title and thumbnail)

The video was 14 minutes long, and I just spent about 2 minutes looking up the same information from the video without getting the fluff.
