I had a good time with it. The battle system is a bit hit or miss, it's mainly just a game of rock paper scissors, but the monster collection aspect kept me hooked until the end. I'd pick it up, but not for full price.

The first quote so hard. Having the pokemon on the field is so much more immersive. And your whole team gets exp when you catch them so its the same grinding, just more streamlined. It's pretty neato throwing the pokeball at the Pokemon too, i dont even care about not battling them. Agreed. UYA bought into the series' own hype about it being all about goofy weapons and combat which cut back on exploration and platforming and jazz. And then it just blatantly had multiplayer maps and objectives in the single-player campaign.

Agreed as well. I really didn't like the vehicle combat at all either. Felt like the whole war between the Tyranoids was forgot about for side story right after it was announced.

Pictures really don't do it justice at all. I got the game last week for the switch after playing it across all platforms and it looks just fine. Pretty much on par with the 360 and ps3 versions, honestly a little better even. I was surprised how crisp it looked on the tablet mode. If you portable game a lot its worth having, I'd even recommend getting it digitally. You never know when you may find yourself in an instance with nothing to play but at least you'll have that.
