If by "Smash fanbase" you guys are referring to, say, the streams of Smash tournaments or to people that play on For Glory or something, then yes those can be pretty bad.

When I say "Smash fanbase", I'm mostly thinking of the competitive players who actually attend tournaments, and I've only had positive experiences with that group and have been to many tournaments in more than one location.

Well, the premises and settings are different, but I think SAO: Alicization is the closest we're ever going to get to the show that I wanted to see after the second episode of the original SAO.

Of course on the other hand, if it takes after the original SAO, then exactly now is when the show is going to go off the rails and turn into something completely different. So, we'll see what happens.

They are publicizing now what they wouldn't have before imo. Crime doesn't just swing up from just the right and lower on the left to keep it in equilibrium. I mean, if crime is steady everywhere and there is this huge influx on just the right the rates would go much higher.

I don't think statistics on general murder or crime rates can either prove or disprove my hypothesis*, because I'm speaking specifically about acts of violence motivated by things like politics or race, which I would assume to make up an extremely small portion of the total amount of violent crime.

*And to clarify, it is still a hypothesis from my standpoint. I haven't provided any form of proof and don't know what the data on this would tell us. I just think the data you're providing is the wrong data to answer that question.

Brittney (main editor for TitS 3/CS1/CS2) is evidently no longer working at XSEED.

I have no idea what if anything this means for the localization chances of future Trails games, but it does make me uneasy.

Update: Seems Tom left today also, who was another one of the main editors at XSEED. Don't think he was directly involved in the Trails series other than maybe for FC, but uh I am now extremely concerned, albeit for slightly different reasons.

The angle I'm coming from is that I've seen similar statements from some people in the past in much more questionable instances. (again I don't know who. Ulti is the obvious one but I know it's not just him I've seen it from)

I would not have made the statement I did If I had any faith whatsoever that the "convicted child molester" part of that statement was the significant part to you, or if I had not seen conservatives (which might not have been you, admittedly) use the same line of attack in less extreme cases.

I agree that the case you describe is an extreme case that would likely flip my vote, but my belief is that you would still use the same dismissal tactics even if Paratroopa made the same concession I am now.

The way I see it the sticker just looks like something a crazy person would do, and I think appearing to be a crazy person lessens how seriously people will take your political message regardless of what the intended message actually is. Which is why I don't see it as a sensible play for either the "right extremist" culprit or for the "left extremist planting false flags" culprit.

It just...makes you look like a crazy person. That's it.

Though I suppose in that sense it maybe does actually make the "leftist false flag" possibility marginally more believable to me. All previous information if anything pointed towards a conservative culprit, but now the dominating theory in my mind is just "stupid culprit", and that comes on all sides of the aisle I think.

Cold Steel 3 and 4 are both out in Japan, but neither has an NA release.

If you ask me, it's very likely XSEED is currently working on it and that Cold Steel 3 will be released sometime in the next 1-1.5 years. However, there's been no official confirmation of anything.

The two Crossbell games will likely never be released here at this point, but there are unofficial translations that exist if you choose to go that route.

My playtimes were roughly these when playing under a similar philosophy to what you described:

Sky FC: 40-50 hours
Sky SC: 70-80 hours
Sky 3rd: 45-55 hours

For reference, both Cold Steel 1 and 2 were in the 80 hour range for me

I recommend Sky first because the Sky games are much better I think, at least from a writing/dialogue standpoint.

There's also one important Sky plot point that is spoiled by a conversation in Cold Steel.
