This 1000%. There are some great game boards, and in spite what the millennials will tell you, there is a veritable goldmine of game resources here that are simply NOT duplicated anywhere else on the net.

I'll admit I completely forgot KHIII was coming out, but I looked things up and KHIII is small compared to Breath of the Wild/Odyssey/Pokemon Let's Go hype in general.

Really the only inexplicable part is Samus being so popular, but that's always been a thing here (and if the Metroid Prime 4 announcement was literally anything other than saying Metroid Prime 4 is being worked on it would probably be crushing KHIII's trailers outside of Toy Story).

I guess my issue is less with this website existing and more why this website has become something I don't associate with when it used to have a better balance of fandoms.

I guess Nintendo was always dominant and the non Nintendo people for the most part were driven away by that, causing it to be even more dominant.

This moment in time is probably the lowest Square has been since the merger, Konami is down, Capcom is still recovering its rep from being hated so much that their fans gave millions of dollars to have one of the biggest jokes in crowdfunding made. These are the traditional top non-Nintendo.

Meanwhile Nintendo just released an incredibly hot Pokemon game, massively well-received Mario and Zelda games, and has Smash about to come out.

Look at Alucard. He boosted a ton, and I have no doubt it's because of Castlevania on Netflix actually being a hot product.

Outside of Mario on top this is basically a crapshoot (other than Samus being legit, she might be below Cloud maybe?). Cloud being down is my weird pick, mostly because I could make a long list of things about that Cloud/Alucard match that worry me, especially with Mario and Samus showing right now that there isn't much of a 'got out of Division' momentum boost like was being theorized. Those weren't momentum-caused overperformances by Pikachu/Zelda/Alucard.

Either that or Samus is 55-45ing Cloud given what she's doing to momentumed Tifa.

As Ive said before, I dont think its a boost.

I think everything else just keeps dropping. These other franchises dont keep getting new great games like Nintendo and dont have quite the same nostalgia as the overall Nintendo brand is still strong.

If everything keeps dropping and Nintendo stays stable, that's basically a boost?

I just did the math and if Vincent = Aeris, then I believe Zelda gets 57.5% on Auron and 54% on Sonic pre-SFF.

...that's a healthy amount for Sonic to rSFF Zelda.

Snake's boost was because of Nintendo. Put him against Nintendo and he reverts to pre-Brawl strength. We've seen it way too often.
