Required to report any suspected abuse or neglect towards children. However, I can't report abuse or neglect towards elderly, as there are federal protections on top of HIPAA for addiction services, which I didn't know about.

All of his content in A Song of Ice and Fire is pretty damn good if you ask me. The main series, Dunk and Egg, and even the history books, which I do understand can be a turn-off to some, but I like it all

Basically, instead of having normal control points to capture and hold, the control points were vehicles. You got points as long as your team was driving the vehicle and it kept moving at a certain speed. It was random what vehicles would get selected, from APCs to motorcycles to oil tankers, and when one was destroyed a new vehicle got the designation.

It turned it into a racing game basically :D

Hotwire was insanely fun and hectic, and every Battlefield after should have a similar mode :/

And I can't believe some of the lack of empathy in this thread, someone literally suggested emergency care be eliminated to lower health costs unless those people can pay for it. Complete lack of ethics, that kind of mentality is that of a sick person.

I agree a lot of people defending taking other peoples money and repurposing it against their will. Shows absolutely zero empathy.

Yeah, that probably would be best. You'd need a really nice budget to make everything look good if it was a typical movie or tv show.

Even more than that. So much of the magic is internal, and couldn't really be shown effectively.

Yes. This was done in Utah and a few other places, and it's been studied quite a bit.

Probably the next book I'll read once I'm done with my current one. I've been meaning to go on a Sanderson binge for a while. I'll probably read Skyward afterwards, but I dunno if I'll jump into Oathbringer or read the sidestories first.

Read edgedancer before Oathbringer. And ideally, Warbreaker if you haven't already. Skyward is great though!

if we closed the loophole that the ER is required to see you irregardless of your ability to pay, it would lower costs for honest customers

Build more shelters. Focus some more of the budget on that. California was boasting about all the surplus cash they have yet they have the biggest homeless problem in the states.

Shelters don't fix the problem. They're a bandaid. They get people off the street but don't give them a permanent, fixed address, so many of the problems of homelessness remain.

Because without a home, gettin anything stable going is incredibly difficult. Especially when it comes to getting a job. It also tends to make them much healthier, physically and mentally, allowing them to address problems that got them homeless in the first place.

I can't imagine one single benefit to the rest of society that could arise from a reduction in homelessness. Their lack of bootstrap doesn't stop me or anyone else going all sorts of bootstraps on the world.

It costs the community way more to have them living on the street.
