It's a mix between stickers and event matches. You fight a simulated battle of a character, then you get their spirit sticker, and you give it to one of your fighters to change and augment their abilities. You can also give spirits to your spirits.

The Grinch has a ton of evidence going for it (remember, nobody would be talking about this thing if just the banner leaked, and none of the details surrounding it were known. The banner itself isn't what makes it believable, it's everything else)
And the supposed Insiders can't agree on what the truth is.
Vergeben says Incineroar is in, and Isaac is an assist trophy
Mystic says Isaac and Geno are in, but the leak is fake and the real roster is even better. somehow.
Emily Rodgers says Almost everyone on the banner is an assist trophy
ZHuge says Shadow is an assist trophy
PapaGenos says The banner is 100% true

So who the fuck knows what's going on.

Well, okay I'm enjoying it quite a bit, but the control scheme is so bad. It makes my hands cramp up after a couple minutes. Circle pad to move, L to shoot, and touch screen to aim and control the camera. It's very uncomfortable to play. I could see this game being talked about more if it was on a console, with a proper controller control scheme.

Also surprisingly enough I can get into the online mode no problem. There must be bots or something lol.

Make of this what you will. Left is the banner on the website immediately after Isabelle was revealed. Right is the Grinch banner. The theory goes that the September Direct was delayed so they could remove Isaac's reveal from the video since it was immediately after a large earthquake in Japan. In addition to this, Sakurai recently made a statement about "have to change things" or something to that effect in that Direct.

So, one of the more credible "leakers" over the past several months has been a GFAQs user named Vergeben. He got a lot right, like "Everyone is here!" and the Belmonts. He also got a lot wrong, like saying "No new DK character" then K. Rool was announced. And he never accurately predicted a single echo fighter. He's been pushing the inclusion of Incineroar for quite some time.

Now he's saying Incineroar isn't on the banner because he could be DLC. Possible... but it's also possible that he and other supposed leakers and insiders pushing Incineroar so hard could be because they actually HAVE seen proof of incieroar, but with no context assumed it was a fighter. Could also be a pokeball pokemon.

Either way, every day the Grinch banner seems to get more and more credible. Nintendo social media partners completely ignoring it, the Grinch materials in the leak are now being seen around Europe, no definite killing blow has been dealt to the leak after 4 days. I know I keep going back and forth on this thing. But it could be the real deal.

But I'm actually okay with that because this leak has been one crazy, wild ride. As soon as something comes out that seems to hurt it or debunk it, something else happens that seems to led credence to it.
