Mario vs. Snake and Cloud vs. Samus is a really good fourpack where only Mario vs. Samus would be an uninteresting match.

It'd also be great to have Sonic, Mega Man and Crono face each other in the other side of the bracket along with some elite non-NNers and whoever comes on top of that can be fed to Link.

Yeah, we really need to have Snake, Mario and Cloud opposite of Link.

Mario and Cloud met once, all the way back in 2002 where Mario pulled what later has looked like an all time upset.

I know we haven't had many contests since then, but it's been 7 years since Zelda won anything and (13 since FF did, but I get that the annoyance was that they were always finalists).

It's a shame no has gotten to see that OoT would've (probably) lost fair and square last contest even without massrally. And Cloud beating Mario, Snake maybe even Samus is almodt an upset at this point.

I honestly wish I could see Cloud win after Final Fantasy has underperformed in every contest in forever.

I fully enjoyed it, though I see where people are coming from.

My only real complaint with the game was that I felt it penalized exploring right away. Loads of moons were not accessible before clearing the main objectives. It's fine when there is reason to it - like the ice had to melt first or whatever - even the postgame ones are alright because you got exact locations then and was already done anyway. But all the moons that were suddenly just randomly there when you beat the boss and could've easily been from the start, that was annoying.

Oh, the Toadette thing is also a valid complaint, but not gamebreaking thing and I could live with it.

Otherwise, fully enjoyable game.

Yeah that was a real WTF selection...especially since a Toon Shiek would basically be an entirely original character created just for Smash.

The video doesn't mention it, but most speculations was always that Toon Shiek was indeed Tetra and it was just a weird way to name her.

So what do you think are the odds that Lip from Panel de Pon will be a playable character? Sakurai has said often that he is a big fan of the series and has always wanted to include her as a character. There's always one random old school, long forgotten character included in every game so I wonder who it will be.

Probably not that big, but I considered Lip an outside shot in Smash 4 too. I think people mostly talked about him shortly after Brawl came out.

It's a bit frustrating when people are talking/complaining about how many reps each franchise has. Yes, Kirby is a bigger franchise than Fire Emblem, but the latter has so many characters, it makes sense more get in. It's not only a matter of what series are big and what's fair. Fire Emblem has more big characters than most series.

Chrom is because he's no longer in Robin's final smash and Ike no longer has a palette swap that resembles him.

What I'm expecting all in all is someone from ARMS, someone from Xenoblade, a Gen VII Pokemon and then Chrom, Dark Samus, maybe Shadow and perhaps a fourth echo fighter. Then a bigger reveal as well.

Spring Man seems unlikely because he's so recent. Based on previous stuff Sakurai has said they would have decided on the roster before Spring Man even existed.

Remember that when Smash 4 begun having trailers, Greninja did not yet exist and wasn't even revealed to the puplic before some months after. Sakurai said back thn they were using concept art to include him, so it's definitely possible with Spring Man too.
