She claimed it as well. She talked about the meat diet being pretty much the only thing that has helped her deal with her condition. She's supposedly seen a bunch of doctors throughout her life and they couldn't do much, so if this meat diet works then I don't blame them for continuing it. Agents of SHIELD has an amazing scene where someone discovers her boyfriend is a robot replacement and she begins threatening him. He's crying and begging and pleading until he realizes it's pointless at which point he turns off all emotion in a split second and just attacks her.

I prefer how the remade TV series of Battlestar Galactica handled it because there was a real moral dilemma about what to do with the humanoid Cylons, many of whom did not know what they were and they became emotionally conflicted when their true nature was revealed.

When I was playing Quake online in the 90s and early 00s, I knew a few girls. The conventional wisdom was always that there were no women whatsoever online because every perverted man flocked to the internet to impersonate women and entrap unsuspecting victims, but having an online life in this sort of environment I can safely say there were at least a few who specifically liked talking to me in my early teen years. Dunno if they were creepers or just friendly, but I didn't really think that much about it. Quake was a fairly hardcore FPS in its day requiring some PC setup knowledge, some command line knowledge to run, etc so it goes to show that girls aren't as pigeonholed into not being into games as has been marketed. That said though I'd expect most girls who were always playing Quake online to be extremely nerdy.

We had one female player in our CTF clan. She was a great part of the team and I always thought there should have been more women playing. I do remember one other woman helping to establish a clan (it was in Quake 2, though) and there was a respected female Quake clan called PMS. There were a few others, but I don't remember playing with or against them.

I could have swore there were articles that also showed that an equal amount (if not more) women played MMOs then men. If nothing else, I can personally say I've never been in a guild/clan that was predominantly male.

I find that incredibly hard to believe, but I am not saying you're wrong. Not sure about other MMO's, but I do remember playing World of Warcraft the first five years or so and women players were looked at by guilds like they were unicorns (you know, rare to the point of being mythical). None of the major guilds ever presented as being heavy or even just equal on female representation, but it is of course possible that their members were either lying or just really secretive. It was refreshing to see women players featured in a few short WoW documentaries, but it was almost always part of a story about men and women dating online and even marrying in some instances.

Ehh, Ok, yeah. I rolled through the current game pretty easily, though I admit I didn't use every weapon. The fact that you can use various means of "powering up your character's armor and weapon kind of diminishes the combat, but I can see some players viewing that as depth. Aside from that, I think the Hunting Horn does have depth and requires effort to use well. The Insect Glaive and the Gunlance did not seem simple to me either.

Anyway, Monster Hunter does have depth, for sure.

I've been to a lot of tournaments. From my experience, a lot of these guys really don't know any better. It doesn't help that many will stay inside for most of the day, so they're not airing out their body odor. They piss me off, but I don't think it's intentional on their part.

He's been a judge for decades and now sits on the highest judicial seat possible. There's no fucking way he won't have something interesting or at least educational to talk about. I already have daily conversations with children, teenagers, Old people and everything in between, coming from all walks of life. None of them are judges, but we still find something to talk about. I'm going to have to disagree, the in VR you were able to explore new digital worlds with different mechanics very similar to the idea of a multiverse where different kinds of earth exist in an infinite plane of universes. True AR is super dangerous and you wouldn't be able to do things like fly or go underwater indefinitely etc. True AR is probably more achievable than the kind of VR I'm talking about though.

I pretty much agree with you, although I think AR would be way easier to implement. VR is clearly more immersive, but that might be much more addictive as well.
