I'm most able to tally votals during the day at work (8:30 to 5 CST), but can hang around on deadlines on certain days. My "busy hours" are usually 5 to 8 pm. Next week, I have nighttime commitments that take me late on Monday (until around 8 Central), Wednesday (until 10), Friday (until 9:30), and Saturday (a wedding, so who knows). That's... a lot more than normal >_> The next week, as of now, I'm wide open except for Saturday (I am never around Saturdays) and I should be available to do those. With both of its formats, Survivor does it way better in that it allows the games to be brought out into the open. BB's ending always seems rushed. | KujikawaRising 09/18/18 12:23:07 PM #295 | The tie in Ghost Island was a phenomenal moment that may be in my top 10 Survivor moments ever - however, it was the only great thing about an otherwise abysmal season. A good - but not great - premiere, merge episode, and finale weren't enough to redeem the atrocious editing, the unfortunate boot order, and the lack of rootability. I think Bayleigh will vote for Tyler over Angela but only over Angela - partly because she feels a little bad for their blow-up. While she is a despicable individual, she's not as petty and nasty as Rockstar. Tyler played a phenomenal game pre-jury, but he's gotten progressively worse with time - namely with jury management. Angela's jury management wasn't as bad as Brett's and she IS upfront about her bitchy side, which is precisely why I say she's not a horrible person. Her character development about the gymnastics taking over her life and robbing her of her emotions is fascinating stuff and, if the entire jury knows about it, they just might sympathize and understand her better. I'm not the biggest Angela fan even though she is really, really nice to look at. I do think she can win. It's just unlikely because this is a very petty, bitter jury. The first three people (Bayleigh, Rockstar, and Scottie) are all nasty individuals I would never want anything to do with. Their unpredictability and lack of rational thinking makes this a less predictable ending than a casual would think. Mewtwo59 posted... I think having a serial sexual assaulter win after Julie made that statement defending her husband isn't going to be a very good look for the show. The new head honcho of CBS could cancel it if that happened tbqh. JC should have been expelled after the Tyler and Haleigh things - that's three strikes. Two counts of sexual assault and one of sexual harassment won't look good. (I am somewhat okay with how he used the n-word, even though it'd have been preferable for him to just say "n-word." Why Kaitlyn got hate for that is beyond me - is Drake a racist, too, then?) This season has been filled with people making controversies out of everything but that's just what our culture is these days. People WANT to be offended and whine. There are some jurors that do not like her because they're terrible people (while Angela is no angel, she's not a horrible person like Bayleigh or Rockstar) but if they reward her over Tyler... quite the upset. A JC win is technically possible if the misattribution of moves comes back to bite L6, but that would probably kill the show given how JC has done many extremely inappropriate things (sexually assaulting Tyler, the ice cream scooper, asking Rachel if she was trans, harassing Haleigh in the bathroom, and more). Fans HATE JC because he's so clueless and him winning would get them to boycott the show. Grod will probably intervene to prevent that from happening. I'd put the odds of Angela winning as about 2% but if this is the universe where that happens, it would make for a satisfying upset ending the same way last year's was, though not to the same extent. Josh upsetting Paul was great because it was Paul's own horrible jury management against Josh actually understanding human emotion. This... Angela actually did try to manage jurors, but since some of them are awful, she didn't care. Let's see, in an Angela vs. Tyler scenario... Bayleigh votes for Tyler (jealousy and bitterness toward Angela) Rockstar votes for Tyler (jealousy and bitterness toward Angela) Scottie votes for Angela (jealousy and bitterness toward Tyler) Faysal votes for Tyler (votes for who he thinks is the mastermind) Haleigh votes for Angela ("female empowerment" shit again) Brett votes for Angela (feels more burned by Tyler) Sam votes for Angela ("female empowerment" shit again) JC votes for Tyler Kaycee... is the swing vote. ...yeah, that might be closer than I thought. People lose their minds in there all the time, sure, but few act the way Sam has. The way she fixated herself on Brett was creepy and now not washing her hands and talking to a fruit fly... yeah. Predix for me: If Kaycee wins the F4 HOH or Veto... 5th: Sam 4th: JC 3rd: Angela 2nd: Tyler WIN: Kaycee If Tyler wins the F4 HOH and Kaycee does not win the Veto... 5th: Sam 4th: Kaycee 3rd: JC 2nd: Angela WIN: Tyler I think Tyler is catching on to that Kaycee being a comp beast means her ideal to take out as soon as possible. He and Angela just need to beat her in two comps at F4. They're going to tell JC that Level 6 was the actual driving force and he was their #EscapeGoat - the same way the Brigade told Britney in BB12 - but he's still someone Tyler should want at the end and evict in 3rd. JC might actually win because of the perception that he was the mastermind. Even so, he's easy to beat in any comp. Kaycee is not and Tyler should be aware that due to 1) her great social game and 2) her beasting comps, she's a massive jury threat, even to him. If he takes her to the end, shame on him for not seeing something so obvious. He should want to go to the end with his girl, seeing as the jury hates her out of jealousy and/or bigotry. I think we're in for a fun ending. One of two people will most likely win. | KujikawaRising 09/13/18 11:05:04 AM #188 | It's probably going to be boring. Most DEs on BBUS are as of late, likely because they come at the boring points of a season. They really do need to prevent seasons from becoming boring, and my suggestions would be: 1. Shorten the season. The excessive length of 14 weeks is way too much and it causes HGs to think of the long game only. This means there are fewer moves being made because it's all about self-preservation - one big move puts a target on you and there are many more opportunities, so people (see: Steve Moses) wait a long time to do it. The length is also a reason why there are so many single twenty-somethings and so few from older generations - people don't want to leave their spouses and children for three and a half months. They were more willing to for a 12-week game, using money as the motivator. 2. Stop the BS twists like the H@CK3R// - they don't spice anything up. In fact, the H@CK3R// twist only served to ENSURE the Pagonging that will conclude tonight. The one time FOUTTE had the power and knew what to do with it, it was all undone by that. Just make a more organic game! 3. Cast more fans. With the sacking of Moonves, this may actually happen if the new big boss decides to let Robyn have more freedom with cast finalization. While you do need to recruit a few people to fill certain roles, there still exist people like Rachel from this season that are both attractive and huge fans of the show. The more people that know what they're getting into, the better. Last year was so bad because there were so many recruits that thought it was a team game. This year has gotten that way because Brett and Angela are playing like that. 4. Add a hidden immunity idol - essentially Tyler's Cloud app - and hide it as an ordinary household item. Make this twist public knowledge to cause paranoia. This will sow seeds of distrust as people will constantly think about Plan B. There will only be one or two of these every season, depending on how early the first is played. 5. Make the Battle Back much less frequent and with far less predictable timing. Everyone knows that the magic number is four and this group was 100% prepared for such an event to occur when Scottie came back in. ChenBot said "they had no idea" but... that's wrong. They had EVERY idea. Because these events have incredibly predictable timing and are so frequent, people play it safe for four weeks. It's doing the exact opposite of what Grod wants it to and preventing power shifts. And it doesn't really do anything since the returnee is usually target #1. Big Brother isn't in as big of a rut as Survivor but it's certainly getting formulaic for many of the same reasons. Both shows are trying to artificially incite Big Movez but their attempts to do so are doing the exact opposite. I am losing interest in reality TV en bloc - and fast.
