I'm watching someone play through Subspace and man it's been at least 8 years since I've played that and I still think it's super neat.

I know World of Light isn't gonna be anywhere near that in-depth but it's nice that it has remnants of Subspace in it.

Looking back earlier in the topic about HxH thoughts, it's funny that a few of you are saying how you dislike Gon so much in the Chimera ending. I said it in my initial thoughts after finishing the arc, but I thought it was by far the most interesting Gon is the entire series. Like I don't actually think Gon is that great of a character in general tbh, he gets upstaged by almost everyone around him. That flip of the switch for him was just so refreshing, and then the outlet of emotions once he finds out about Kite's fate is great. Meanwhile Killua has been getting steady development with realizing how much he cares about Gon, and that whole sequence is heartbreaking for him especially when Gon snaps directly at him.

The cult thing is there to help connect the whole small town conservative theme, to me at least. They were building things up with the town committee at various points (and yes for a time I thought the town committee WAS the cult, but alas I don't think that's it now) and then there's an optional side-quest thing that ends up explaining more about the unions, particularly with Mae's dad and how he hates his job. And you gets bits of it with the newspaper clippings in the library too.

And I actually would have been really disappointed if it was all clearly just in her head, that's just too easy and kind of lazy to me. And would almost be insulting to her in a way.

Hi, resident Night in the Woods expert here. Sorry I'm late to this, but welcome and I'm very glad you're getting around to playing!

Definitely stick to one. You'll never get all the hangouts on 1 playthrough, so if you end up doing a 2nd to see how the other stuff turns out (and it also slightly alters the ending depending on who you hung out with more), it's easier to remember to just do all the other person's hangouts in one go instead of thinking "shit who did I hang out with this day my first time"

Good shit, I already had my coworker's DVDs of all of the show and movies (crazy I know right) to watch them earlier last year for the first time but glad it's getting a way people don't have to fuckin sell their kidneys and sacrifice a blood relative just to have access to it.

I'd say it's definitely worth watching, one of the most influential and original anime series I've ever seen. It does some crazy shit. But fuck Shinji.
