Rick Melkitz shut the phone down and sighed, burgessly ruffling his thinning hair.

"Joanne, get in here."

A bookish woman in her mid-twenties hurried in with a coffee cup, nearly overflowing onto her plain dress. As in, it could've been taken from a butter churning exhibit in the local Great Plains museum. Maybe it was a phase she was going through, Rick thought. He knew better than to bring up fashion, seeing he was wearing beat-up overalls that smelled of paint thinner.

"You'll never believe the idiotic request we got this time."

She set the cup down on the cluttered workspace. "What's that, Lucky?"

Rick rolled his eyes. "You know I don't like being called that!" The secretary silently snickered.

The boss composed himself before continuing. "Anyway, Some clown from down Florida way wants us to put up a twit -- twitter? tweeter? Whatever. One of those things internet folks say -- on a billboard outside Houston. It's something from two years ago! It'll pay ten K, though, so make sure you get that damn fax machine fixed for the invoice. We'll need two twenty-foot ladders, too."

With a wave of his hand, he shooed her out of his office, and when she was safely back at her station, he drank a bit of his coffee. A second later, he spit it into the trash, on top of his old. "What'd she filter this through? A litter box?" Still, Rick contentedly chuckled at his own joke.

Now, onto the next matter, Rick thought, plucking a zoning map from below the dusty drafting board. He already a good place in mind for the whiners' message, so all that was left was to pick a good spot. Coincidentally, his finger rested came to rest on one.

A: Put the message above the local Denny's
B: Put the message in the stadium's parking lot
C: Pretend to do the work, then sabotage it to blame protesters
D: Change the story's setting so the zombie apocalypse has already occured

How long have you had the console? I never understood how people could have a game for months and years, and simply never played it. That's the first world for you, I guess.

I've had it since 2015 or something, haha. As you can expect, its inclusion wasn't the main draw.
