I only really got into these contests in 2015(as in looking at x stats) but to me he stuck out when making this bracket and reading analysis as the one example where the character was supposedly far stronger than their game. FFVIII was pretty strong in 2009, actually! It's clearly lost strength since then though, which may contribute to Squall's decline. Plus, Squall gets a non-negligible portion of his strength from his roles in Kingdom Hearts, so that probably hurt him, too. --- |
