I literally just said in the message that you quoted that I loved the game. It very much is a great game. And I'm not even complaining that it took two years to do. I'm complaining that he literally dropped it in favor of working on a completely different project. Despite pushing it as a feature that would be available at launch. So in essence, it didn't "take 2 years" it just took him 2 years to get around to it.

This nearly 6 year old video shows an early build of the game with multiple farmers playing together.

To argue that it wasn't already being coded is simply wrong.
It was one of the selling points from very early on.

I never claimed that was the case. I just claimed that he didn't keep good on his promise of having multiplayer as an option from the start. He put off multiplayer for quite a good amount of time after the game was released, and even started working on an entirely different project in the meantime.

It probably would have never been implemented in the first place had he not got so many complaints about it not being present.

Stardew Valley was supposed to release WITH multiplayer, and we only just now got it a few months ago.
It was even one of the selling points in most of the trailers he released.

He even admitted that he was going to call it "done" and stop working on it entirely. But ended up feeling guilty for not making good on his promises.

The Divine Beast were basically small dungeons. And the shrines were basically Dungeon Rooms...

That's the problem. Small dungeons, and a bunch of dungeon rooms spread out across the whole map.

I'm sure just about everyone would have been happier with fully realized dungeons in place of all that shrine nonsense. The "ancient tech" aesthetic got pretty boring after a while. And it was especially grating when the DLC dungeon looked the same.

Mild alterations to the color scheme don't count, either.
