Now she doesnt really drink, so this sounds like a win/win situation. I can enjoy some scotch(and ive heard dalwhinnie is decent) and she can keep the collectible tin as GoT is her favorite show and stark is one of it not her favorite house.

However I am not drinking this. If she wants to, fine(but she doesnt drink, her choice though as it isnt mine), but if not I'm thinking this might be a decent bottle to speculate on. These GoT scotches(one for each house+ imperial guard...not the johnnie walker whitewalker stuff) wont be around forever, so i imagine when theyre gone they are gone. People already do speculate on scotches as it is, so we'll see.

I paid 40 bucks for it...in a few years who knows what they could be going for. Or lets say the price somehow doesnt go up on the collector market, I can enjoy some fancy scotch.

oh man they put nutritional facts on the tin. i honestly dont know why they isnt required by law like all other prepackaged foods, but on alcohol its a rare sight. 105 calories per 1.5floz. seems about standard for this kinda thing.

Sounds interesting, you'll have to give us your thoughts if it ever gets consumed. Or gloat if it makes you rich.

it wouldnt make me rich but it could go up in value. I know my mom would love the gift as she likes anything and everything GOT related, and its in a cool tin from her favorite house, but i'd feel bad drinking it because then it might seem like i got it for myself, even if my mom would tell me she doesnt care, which is likely how it'd go down.

But I see serious potential with this one, because people already speculate on scotches that arent designed to be collectible like this one is. Buy a 21 year old bottle for 200 bucks today, and while the liquid wont age at all inside the bottle, wait 20 years and see what you can get for it. Also depends. maybe the 21 year old from X brand released in X year got awesome reviews and everybody loved it and you might have it, making it even more sought after.

But would your mom want to sell your gift later? It doesn't matter what the value is if she's not interested in parting with it.
