I'd rather play levels designed by people who are masters at designing levels. That's not me. I also enjoy not knowing what's coming up. If I make it, that's not me.

User made levels are too hit and miss and just goes to show the nuance needed.

They probably looked at the money mobile games made, and figured that's what people wanted. The problem is A. The people at the conference was not a core mobile demographic, and B. Most "hardcore" gamers who even play mobile games play them casually and don't take them seriously.

That was also my first big hint that they never really gave a shit about the Final Fantasy aspect either. 'Oh boy! They finally added a FF6 character!' Too bad 'Setzer' was such a letdown. I put the name in quotes because the guy's clearly named Setzer, he kinda somewhat dresses like Setzer, he spins one of Setzer's lines into a catchphrase...but that's where the similarities come to a halt. Still not as bad as turning YRP into pixies for reasons, I guess.

Imagine there being a FPS representative.

Now think of how many people will return the game day one when they get several hours into this mess of a story and don't even see a pair of mouse ears.

Now think of how many people won't even make it that far, and will instead ditch the game halfway into the 3 hour long story recap vid.

It exemplifies the power of choice and his depth, which negates the dumbass casual complaint of "he's boring and vanilla".

There's a reason why there are many arcs about how to beat Superman if he ever snaps or goes crazy, or arcs where he has gone crazy. Superman, with his all of his powers, chooses to do the right thing is very deep and powerful.
