Are we still pretending that the universal "ok" sign is now secretly a white power symbol? Because people were pretending it was an illuminati thing thing before as well.

That is the sign you make where if you get someone to look at it you punch and insult them.

Apparently it also is a white power sign, which is something I've only been aware of for a few months and it makes me sad. My first inclination is not to see it as a white power sign and in this case I want to believe it is a kid playing that game.

I really wonder if maybe some of the kids in this picture were neo-nazis and others who weren't got dragged into this fiasco. I just remain so unsure about this picture.

Well I'm gonna go searching for it, sounds interesting.

Rather than being normal, there just isn't much of a choice.

Sure you could live on your own, but you wouldn't be able to afford anything and even the slightest unexpected expense would cause to spiral into uncontrollable debt.

I live with my mom I help pay stuff and cook. I also get to buy the games and can afford cable and internet. Things I would not be able to do on my own.

We do not have the same opportunities our parents did in the job market.

Sounds like the guy who informed an officer he had a gun for full disclosure and then the cop shoots him in the head without warning.

I wouldn't call it offensive. But I don't understand why "poop" is a thing we are teaching kids to play with. I don't think it's funny.

So I did vote it isn't appropriate, but not in a "I wanna ban it!" sort of way but a "I wouldn't buy something like this for my kid" kind of way. Because if I was in a situation where a child wanted this I would try to divert their attention to something else.

No there was an article where he was quoted as saying "I want to die" because he was under constant harassment and apparently there were people trying to take his legal rights in courts and even the judge didn't know what was going on.

What was supposed to happen was a full auction of the brands held by the company.

He shoved me into a wall once, but my parents were divorced he didn't have much of a parental role for me at the time where you would actually spank someone.

Basically the closing of all of it's stores in the US and UK (as well as selling off the ones in Canada and the rest of Europe) was the condition by which it was allowed to exist. They didn't sell everything off though. They canceled the auction right after the stores all closed.

Uh, the toy industry is more than just one retailer... and TRU more or less collapsed because people were buying from those other retailers.

Nope. They had some debt and then had a leveraged buyout in the 2000's take them from a public company to a private company saddling them with debt more than the company was worth (Fuck Mitt Romney). If you don't consider the leveraged buyout debt the company was profitable but they couldn't handle the absurd debt payments. There were other fiascos like messing up an online retailer deal and falling behind, but the debt made it hard to invest in big changes and keep up.

But toys r us is still around. I don't know how but after selling all the stores and fucking over all their employees they seem to have somehow canceled selling off the brands and rebranded as "Geoffreys Toy Box" I believe.

I'm going to speak bluntly and say I don't understand how this is legal. They haven't given us our severance, they cleared their debt, and they maintain their brands. I'm going to hate this new version of Toys R Us for as long as it exists probably because the people in charge of it belong in prison. Last rumor I heard on 7 was that the company they outsourced it to had the project taken away as they found the majority of what they had was unusuable after how many ever years it had been in development. So in theory the 7 remake is starting from scratch since like april this year.

Nazi symbology exclusively symbolizes genocide and white supremacy.

Communist symbols are more unclear. They are offensive symbols, especially to people who escaped from communism. But they aren't specific symbols of hate.

An example of a difference here (from an american perspective) is someone with communist symbols is probably a dumb kid in high school in a rebellious phase using something offensive to get attention. Someone wearing swastikas goes into a black church and starts shooting.
