As for the upgrades, I do avoid the rocket jump, jetpack, and drone, but I used to get the timevoid and the fork/knife (if that is the one about eating enemy carcasses), but I don't think that I have selected those upgrades for at least a few runs now.

It seems like you and I think alike in many regards as to our how we proceed through the game, and the main thing is that I just need to get better.

Yeah, I always get every in-level upgrade/gun change, buy +HP when I can, and get stomp explosion when available at the end-level upgrade.

In the aquatic levels, I used to try and kill the squids before they swam above me. I only died in those runs due to having lower health to me begin with, and in my last run, I decided to ignore them. That was arguably the worst of my series of aforementioned mistakes. I can't be worried about stuff above me if I can help it, so I'm going to go back to the old way of keeping as many of the baddies below me as I can. I'm not sure if you were suggesting to let them go above me or take care of them before they do, but the former decimated my health when I was at a full 8 HP entering the final aquatic level.

Despite being here for over a dozen years, I'm probably one of the few users on the board who doesn't pay attention to the contests, and since I doubt the characters that I really want in (such as En from Echo, Jimmy Hopkins from Bully, or Kyle Hyde from Hotel Dusk) have even a thousandth of a percent chance of making it in, I decided to have users lobby characters for me to nominate.

It won't be first come, first served, but if there's a character I recognize that I love, then there's a possibility that I will immediately add them to the nomination form. I don't know contest history, but if there's a character that I assume hasn't been in the contest before (you can use that as part of your lobbying), then I am more likely to consider them.

I am not going to limit how many characters that you lobby, but try to keep to one or two per post.
