I'm starting to get really pissed off.

Last game I had NO CHOICE but to play the inactive card after I lawyered. I even said as much on the scumboard but was reigned in when it was clear my inactivity was the only explanation for my survival besides being scum.

I have never ONCE sought out excuses to not be active and I have gone above and beyond with the time I DO have to make time for mafia.

God damn the bullshit I have to put up with.

T1P7 - igcd is back and more confusing than before. More stuff about thief and vanilla and people being high. Sultan votes igcd.

T1P8 - igcd explains how he is a thief but for a thief. Nobody is buying it except for SBell who leaps to igcd's defense while saying he isn't defending him. Corrik says it doesn't matter because thief is confirmable. Eaed agrees with corrik. Again.

Important to note is that scum thief can confirm their action just as easily as town thief. They will still receive an item (or innermost desire, lol) and confirm they have the night action. But that does nothing to confirm alignment so..

T1P6 - Shad and sheep talk about igcd's claim more. Good points are raised about the phrase "you can only vote" not making sense with having a night action. I was getting ready to say that SBell was reading very passive and reactive to me, but then he proactively voted Sheep and I thought justified the vote reasonably well. So I preemptively retract the remarks I was preparing to make.

T1P5 - eaed says he uses thief as a town role. Sultan vows to keep a close eye on scare. Shad asks SBell for his thoughts and says his posts have been 'nothing' to that point. SBell is not willing to comment on his thoughts yet which raises some flags imo. Like 4 people have already said they didn't realize the game had started so I'm glad I'm not alone in that. Shad has flavor comments on Wesley.

T1P4 - corrik eases off of igcd. Eaed agrees again. Shad says corrik being excited is a null tell but he isn't sure. Mzero was scummoned at some point (not really). There is some discussion about what a thief even is.

Well I actually have an opinion on this. Flavor cop as a town role implies a definitive flavor split. Otherwise it would be worthless for town. Especially with a theme as varied as this one with flavors suggested by the players, I have trouble envisioning a split. BUT if he is town thief then I think it looks bad for people who are accepting the claim quickly. The only ones who would know with certainty a split exists (and therefore thief isn't worthless as town) would be the scum themselves.

Alternatively as a scum role thief doesn't require a flavor split because the stolen items could still be indicative of powers regardless of flavor.

So I'm solidly in the IGCD is probably scum camp at this point.

Scare votes Sultan and corrik says scare is a bigger "target" than Sultan. I thought that was weird choice of words by corrik. I personally don't consider other members of town to be "targets"

Corrik has never heard the expression "man alive" before. Corrik says vanilla claim makes igcd scum... somehow. Oh he changed his claim to thief, weird. Eaed agrees with corrik. This is where he says there is a 0.00000000% chance he would have drawn FLJ if he didn't keep it on mulligan.

Now in the matchup vs druid I can't entirely say what the correct play is. It's a really bad match up for control mage regardless of which druid you are Q'd into though. All I know for sure is that Ulti's opponent did not understand the match up and he played his win conditionally terribly. His togwaggle turn was a complete mess and way too early. He had enough defensive tools to continue to draw out his deck before his togwaggle + double naturalize + azalina turn so I can't wrap my head around why he decided to play it when he did.

Like if Ulti thinks that his opponent getting an emeriss from Sindragosa is "why he lost" then he is completely missing the picture. The picture being that togwaggle vs control mage is almost certainly an auto win, and the fact that it was close was because his opponent tried very hard to throw the game.

Also his opponent had the wild growth on 2, but did not get a nourish until he was at 9 crystals. That is not 'drawing perfectly". He also never drew a UI.

I usually squeeze the galvanizer in at the earliest convenience when mecha'thun is in hand. I have to wonder what my opponents think when that happens.

So I was running token with a togwaggle package tech'd in. Had to cut 3 cards to make room though. The idea being to have a way to win the really bad match ups against the hard control that can clear all my boards repeatedly (most notably being control warlock).

Then I had a thought. Why have 3 dead cards in my deck to beat control if I could do it with 2?

Galvanizer + Mecha'Thun (+1 Naturalize that is already in the deck list so it isn't a cut!)

Only 2 dead cards in an otherwise standard token package. Still wins the good match ups with nearly the same consistency. But now when I'm playing against control warlock or odd warrior they think their "win condition" is to navigate all the necessary board clears. And in a sense it is, because if i stick a board I can still kill them with savage + savage + branching. But when they DO inevitably clear everything I can spend a few turns dumping cards and auto-win with mecha'Thun.

It's so very satisfying.
