Relevancy of the meme has nothing to do with its rally potential. The rally becomes the meme almost instantly, and feeds itself from then on. All that's necessary is that people know who Monika is and are passionate enough to vote for her, on the order of ~20k votes. DDLC is a smaller fanbase but it is insanely passionate. Literally 100% of the subreddit will vote for her every time. Who knows how many from tumblr etc will vote.

That promo art and the actual scene in-game is so badass. There's a ton of flaws in this game when you're actually playing it, but it delivers so well on these heavy scenes that it leaves a really good impression.

SVU is the only L&O I was ever able to watch. It's so damn good in it's weirdly specific and repetitive way. I probably watched over 1000 hours in high school. Many episodes watched a dozen or more times.

It takes a massive nosedive after Stabler leaves though. Not because Benson or the new people are bad, but because the writing became so gimmicky with cheap shock value.

All the guest actors are great too. Lots of small roles that went on to be bigger actors, and guest roles from big actors doing ridiculous characters (I think Robin Williams did one which was pretty insane).

Smash being a Kirby game is about equivalent to Nier being a Drakengard game. They are just games made by the same director (so they feel similar) and with some verrrrry loose, nearly non-canonical connections. They're all different series though for sure.
