Sports festival has pretty much everything even though lots of things are still stupid. S1 is a complete waste of time in comparison, I would say just skip straight to S2 and you wouldn't miss much. 1 female character is good now at least, but all the others are still wasted, and no villains are good. Even the Hero Killer (although the TMNT Strider design was hilarious). Like a dollar store Korra villain.

But even in that arc, there's good internal conflict with the characters, which is all you need. It definitely feels like it's getting boring again though. The show doesn't really know what is most fun about it. It's not a coincidence that the best arc had no external threats at all. This is pretty common in shonens I guess. But this show is clearly trying to do something deeper with its villains and it's just not working at all. They need to learn from Deku and stick to what they are good at.

That's the thing, it's all politics. Football has SO many rules and the games are 90% just nuances and exceptions. You can find dozens of hits harder than those that weren't flagged, for example. Every single call is argued like a god damn supreme court case and money decides who wins. It's a small scale version of the US justice system. I don't get how anyone can enjoy watching it, beyond the obvious gimmick of huge dudes killing each other.

The worst thing about modern streaming culture is that convinced people that they are properly compensating the artist when it's really just pennies more than nothing. If you were never gonna watch it anyway, or you were gonna pirate it, then yeah those pennies are better than nothing. But it's extremely easy to beat streaming revenue just by buying some $5 merch or something.

Right, but that's just the cliche we were talking about before. One Piece, Goku's SSJ3, etc, even Death Note did it. It's just a cool line to raise the stakes. The show just hasn't been following through on its stakes. I do want to see what happens when he is dried up.

Alright this seems pretty stupid. I can't create a table for less than 20K chips buy in, but you can only get 15K free chips every hour. So to play at all you have to wait at least 4 hours (making sure to click the free chips button) and if you ever drop below 20K you can't play again until you get more chips.
