Takahashi specifically wanted to create a game that looked and felt like an anime and out came Xenoblade 2. But the actual topic on hand...I don't particularly care if Samus's character was "ruined." Not even in Other M...that wasn't really the problem I had with the game's story. Yeah she was uncharacteristically passive, but if she was supposed to be increasingly annoyed having to put up with taking orders then it was badly written and not conveyed well...which is a problem throughout the game.
