Not saying I wouldn't, but I feel when comparing a modern game to an older game you have to have replayed the older game recently to have a better understanding, as you might remember it being better than it actually is. I want a horror style Metroid game with the atmosphere and tension of Alien Isolation (until you're powerful enough to kick ass) Funny thing, that was gonna be an idea that Retro Studios had after Prime 1. Something about Samus finding a distress signal on a giant spaceship that ends up looking abandoned with a whole bunch of creatures loose. The only form of intelligence you encounter is the ship's AI, which is unfortunately not all she appears to be, ending up "changing personalities" and causing all sorts of weird anomalies which can change up the gameplay.
