Man that is a misunderstanding they should have corrected in high school biology class. Someone losing a leg has no impact on their genetic data.

I remember learning about the contrast between Lamarckian and Darwinian theory in 9th grade biology - the example they used to disprove Lamarck was cutting off the tail of a mouse and expecting its offspring to be tailless as well. Turns out this is a huge misunderstanding of Lamarckism and its relation to Darwin's body of work, but the example stuck.

yes, and it can also be edited and recompiled on the fly in the OS. it's a little like a Symbolics Lisp Machine or Smalltalk in that regard, except HolyC isn't a managed language (it's just a highly specialized amalgamation of C and C++ that's tightly coupled to the OS)

the engine is something like 98hp iirc in a typical compact car sized body, it's absurdly underpowered

couple that with a curb weight of nearly 3,000 pounds and a CVT programmed for economy, and you've got a vehicle that feels unsafe when merging into highway traffic

A Leaf wouldn't be too bad if I had regular access to a 240V charging station. My work commute is about 60 miles round trip, so I'd be a bit hesitant to have it as a daily driver since I'd constantly be plugging it into the wall whenever it was parked.

OH, and to top it all off, the customer/owner had his rear bumper plastered with stickers for Democrats. Only thing it was missing was a "coexist" sticker.

Despite weighing a fuckton, the handling didn't feel planted either - the steering feel was way too light and the front end felt twitchy, and yet when you tried to change direction you could just feel the car's fat ass weighing you down. Throttle response was awful and non-linear too - you had to push and push on the pedal until it finally decided to step up the gear ratio and put some power to the wheels
