I didn't care for the first few eps, but I started to come around. It's got fantastic comedic timing and uses the characters well, but establishing them was super awkward. If you're enjoying it from the onset, you're in for a treat.

And yeah this.

The comedic timing gets a lot better later on imo.

I'd be fine with the usual basic sister fanservice that a ton of other anime have, and I'd have been fine with them making it official and going 100% incest. However, Nisemonogatari pretended it was just the usual 'little sisters are so cute!' innocent fanservice situation while at the same time going way more sexual than it has with any of the other girls so far.

Was it pretending to be just that, or was it showing off how it was able to make fucking tooth brushing more sexually charged than anything else in the show(which is also what I meant by it being a work of cinematic genius).

It's a hilarious scene, because it manages to make brushing teeth sexy, and the joke doesn't work if it isn't the most sexually charged part of the series.

Now if you want to still be too grossed out by the joke to like it, that's completely fair and reasonable, but it's kinda missing the point to say it was just pretending to just be the usual "little sisters are so cute!" innocent fanservice.
