I'm a big believer in artists being able to create what they want, but people shouldn't be belittled for choosing to not consume something with content they aren't comfortable with.

I sometimes wish Monogatari didn't have all the loli and incest shit so more people would give it a try, but Nisio has every right to put it in if he wants, and people who find that too much to enjoy should just chose to not watch/read it.

There's a lot of arguing over if rape should be used to show how evil the goblins are, and also even if having the goblins be rapists is appropriate, is the way it is shown in the anime an appropriate way to show the goblins being rapists.

So defense of both the use of rape, and the way it was shown has been going on.
